Eliminating things from diet
I posted this on the main forum...but no one replied. So here goes! For those of you who suffer with Fibromyalgia/CFS- I had been suffering undiagnosed for 13 years and was finally given a diagnosis 7 weeks ago. My doctor mentioned looking into foods that could be triggers to my flare-ups. I currently eat a very…

Fibromyalgia/CFS Diet
For those of you who suffer with Fibromyalgia/CFS- I had been suffering undiagnosed for 13 years and was finally given a diagnosis 7 weeks ago. My doctor mentioned looking into foods that could be triggers to my flare-ups. I currently eat a very traditional diet (lots of lean protein, fruits, vegetables, and carbs). I do…

Can I Tell You All How Much I Love EM2WL?
This group has been the greatest thing to ever happen to my self-image and my expectations regarding fitness goals. When I began my MFP journey in April I was focused on one thing: getting the number on the scale down. I had a number in my head (who even knows where that came from!) and I was determined to get there. Like…

"The Bloat"
So I have to admit that I have been very lucky since starting my reset 3 1/2 weeks ago. At the beginning I felt a bit uncomfortable and had some bloating, but that went away in a matter of a day or two. Since the start I have been eating at TDEE according to my Fitbit. I have averaged about 100 cal under to 100 cal over…

Metabolism Reset-How Do You Know??
How do you know if a metabolism reset is the right move? I started logging on MFP about 40 days ago. I realized then that I was eating pretty low calories without realizing it during the work-week. During the weekends, there is no telling what I was consuming. During a typical work day I probably consumed under 1200…

Step-Ups
What do you ladies use to do your step-ups?? I do the program at home, and right now I am using a folding chair. It is WAY too high to do anything effectively, so I want to get something lower, but not too low. If you use aerobic steps, how tall are they? Most that I have found seem too short. Thanks :)

Maintenance or Fat Loss?
I am really confused on how to figure out if I should be eating at Maintenance or Fat Loss. I am 31, 5'6", 125 lbs and 21.9% BF. I am not wholly concerned with the number on the scale, but I would like to shed some left-over baby weight on my stomach and thighs while building muscle. So, what do you think? Maintenance, fat…

Yet another confirmation of calories...
I am sure you are all thrilled about having yet another post asking you to confirm calorie goals, but I am have the mind set of "what's the point of doing it if you aren't going to do it right?" Just want to check my numbers and set myself up for success. The problem with me is...I obsess over things. So I am hoping this…

NROLFW Calorie Goals
Are they net or gross? Just did the calculations from the book and got the following: Maintenance Non-workout days- 1920 Workout days- 2160 So...do I just aim to eat those totals daily and not worry about eating back exercise calories, or do I aim to net those numbers? I also wear a Fitbit, and it usually provides me with…

Help with Measurements
When using Fat2Fit to calculate TDEE, how do you know if your measurements are correct? I followed the advice on the Military calculator, measured in the correct spots (smallest part of waist, etc.), but BF% seems high. I am: 31 yr of female 124 lbs 5' 6" Athletic build It is giving me a BF% of 21.9%. Does this seem…

Looking for some buddies!
I started on MFP about two weeks ago and I have been consistent with logging food/ exercise. Although I think I do a pretty good job, I would love some people to push me to do better. Any advice is appreciated- I think I may be eating too few calories, I know I need to weight train, I def. don't drink enough water...so a…
