I think you will do wonderful. Welcome to the group!

[
^^^^^^^^ THIS And answer for yourself. Why would you NOT want to eat more? Who wants to get on some absurd, doomed-to-fail-in-the-end crash diet when they can eat well and sustain steady, lasting results? Smarten up folks!
Love this. I was just currently at a place where I kept upping my calories by 100…

He wasn't asking her to go to less classes, he was questioning why she wasn't doing 4 hours that day. Doesn't seem like someone who is trying to figure out when he might get a chance to see her again. And commenting rudely on the fact that she dared to eat the last bit of yogurt and blueberries is not talking to her about…

I'm going to jump on the food-intolerance band wagon as well. I have had severe fatique, joint pain, horrible stomach pain and multiple vitamin deficiencies for over 13 years. I was just recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which I have come to learn is a diagnosis given to many people when there seems to be no other…

Congratulations!!

I got the Bowflex SelectTech on Craigslist (used once) for more than half off. LOVE them!

I find Gap and Banana Republic to be the worst. Most everywhere I am a 4, but at those two places I am a 0/2.

Irving, here!

if you are wanting to change the way your body looks, I would eat at TDEE or slightly below and lift heavy. By the looks of it, you have low body fat as it is, so I wouldn't be expecting much movement on the scale. But if you lift heavy 2-3 times a week, you may be able to see some of the definition you are looking for. As…

You can add me

Thank you so much! That really helped. I think I am going to eliminate all for a couple of weeks (give myself a sort of cleanse) and then add one food group back in at a time to see which causes me issues. I agree with the fruit. I was told to stick to berries and apples as they have the lowest sugar counts, so that is…

One of the many reasons I just quit teaching. Unfortunately, these occurrences (and much worse) are part of the norm now. Don't take it personally. It reflects poorly on the student, not on you. Don't let it ruin any more of your day; I can promise that student isn't letting it ruin his/hers.

1800...every day. Sometimes I struggle with this and eat a bit over. I like food.

I know I say this on EVERY recipe thread, but I am obsessed with Skinnytaste.com. She has the most amazing, healthy recipes. My husband (who is a very pick eater, by the way) has loved every single thing I have made from there. I average about 4 recipes a week and I haven't found one yet that wasn't good. She's got…

I agree with your review of P90X. Excellent for building muscle, but I didn't see myself as much leaner afterwards.

Right. As long as you put your exercise in correctly, that is accounted for in your numbers. The only time you would eat back any exercise calories is if you net less than your BMR. And you definitely need to give it time. Most people feel like they are completely stuffed, but that evens out. Your body needs to get used to…

You know your body best. So if you feel ready, I say go for it. Be realistic with yourself about vacation...enjoy and don't stress too much about maintaining your cut. If it happens, great, but if you go a bit over there is nothing wrong with that! Can't wait to hear how your cut goes...I am supposed to be starting in 2…

I think you need to run your numbers through Scoobysworkshop.com. Your calories seem very low for someone your height with your activity level. This calculator takes your exercise into account, so make sure you put 5-6 hours if you are following the program the way it is written. I am not sure how much you weigh, but I am…

I drink a protein shake every night. Got started with this site: http://dashingdish.com/recipe/dashing-dish-official-protein-shake/ and then started to create my own flavors. It's the only way I can get my macros perfect

You are right around my number...I eat 1800 on my reset. I agree with the 40-30-30; it has been really good for me. Good luck :)

Bake with onions, peppers and potatoes! Yumm.

I know for me, my body loves when I take a break from exercise..especially when I have been training hard. I don't think it would do any harm to not be as active as usual. But remember, you TDEE was calculated with that exercise in mind, so if you keep eating that number, you are most likely going to be going over.

Funny. I just started looking into this today. I think most of Primal eating makes sense for me. I agree with the philosophy and think it can do wonders. I just worry, however, that for me it is not sustainable. I LOVE carbs. I can imagine cutting them out for a short period of time, but do not see myself totally giving up…

Feel free to add me as well. Welcome!

I use Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream-so flavored. Play around with it and see how it tastes the way you want them. Sooo good!

Go to: http://www.dashingdish.com/2010/03/i-cant-believe-its-not-a-milkshake/ Seriously the greatest protein shake recipes (chocolate included!). Life's too short to be choking down nasty shakes

I go by my Fitbit, but I don't adjust daily. I took a weekly average and used that number. It is usually right in the middle of what I burn. I wouldn't ditch your Body Bugg numbers as they are probably more accurate than Scooby. I found that Scooby's numbers were too high for me. Maybe look back at your data for the past…

How long have you been doing the reset? I wouldn't recalculate...just stick it out and then begin cut. If you are not losing on your cut, I would wait a couple of weeks and then cut another 100 and see how that goes. Unfortunately, no calculator is going to be able to give you your actual TDEE value, so you have to…

Just quit teaching English after 8 years to take a job as a CME events planner for a hospital group.
