Literal, figurative, or metaphorical? The numbers will differ significantly.

Sweet, you're totally on my ZAST (Zombie Apocalypse Survival Team). I'll be right behind you

You may try adjusting the way your shoes are laced. I have to skip some holes in some of my lace-up shoes because I have very high arches.

I prefer not to have to chase my clothes, so my favorite pants don't run. Okay, seriously, though... Brooks has some great running tights. I agree that something tighter would be better. You don't want to have to worry about what you're wearing when you run. For summer you might want to try shorts. I made that…

I have read that varying calorie intake from day to day is actually beneficial, but I have no idea how true it is. My take is that it's going to just about impossible to eat exactly the same number of calories every day for any period longer than a few weeks, so it's reasonable to work with total weekly calories in lieu of…

I can't eat chocolate (I have GERD), so I've tried several non-chocolate. My favorite is cinnamon roll, second is vanilla almond, third is apple pie. I don't want to hear about how good the chocolate flavors are... I love chocolate... dangit

I suppose people can take on whatever identity they like. I don't like the idea of allowing myself to become the wife of or the mother of rather than myself, so I married a wonderful supportive man who thinks likewise and I will never have kids (for thousands of reasons). But whatever floats your boat. Or something PC like…

Quest Protein Bars. They have very low sugar, many are under 200 calories, and 20g protein. They're also very tasty and come in lots of flavors. Try them out at GNC then order them online once you know what flavors you like. Quest has a website if you're curious, and you can buy from there, too.

I've had marmite. Whoever came up with that should knock it off.
-
Jeez, did they at least let you read while you were doing that?

Same problem. I passed my goal weight six weeks ago and have lost another seven pounds since then (a significant amount since my goal was 105). Tricky!

Not only do I run in the streets, I run just to the left of the middle of the street going the wrong way. This is because the sidewalks are total hazards, with steep angles due to tree roots, huge cracks and uneven spots where the drop or rise can be three or four inches. I've actually fallen before because I got tripped…

Well, I'm definitely mad about all of this. But from what I've learned from here it's because I'm skinny and hungry.
-
What? On second thought, never mind. Carry on.

Well done, and I like the dark hair, too

It's about the same price as grass fed beef in Texas, but it's still just a once or twice a month treat for us, too.

For those of you who eat ground bison but haven't tried a bison steak, I highly recommend it. Just don't cook it like it's beef. My husband used some internet resources and tips for how to "properly" prepare bison steak, and he can grill them to a perfect medium rare every time now. Okay, now I know what we're having for…

Thanks for that link. Fantastic site!

You had me at banana.    :blushing:

No. A thousand times, no. No offense meant, I promise.

So you've never asked her to keep you "on track"? If you've put her in the position of being the motivator, the coach, and the voice of reason, don't get all butt-hurt when that's what she does. If not, she may be out of line. Or you may be overly sensitive. Sorry, but you have to consider the fact that maybe you already…

Just had the most awesome cartoon image of a disembodied pair of boobs lifting weights with their nipples pop into my head. Priceless.

OMG, you really did post that. Just, wow.

Don't mean to be rude, but to those of you who posted that you're 5'1" or shorter, but eating 1450 calories or more on rest days: how much do you weigh? I'm 5'1" and my no exercise maintenance is 1320! BUT, I'm 99 pounds. Height can't be the only factor here. Just curious, again, not trying to be rude.

... oh, and a diet Coke to drink, please.

I eat fruit, and that puts me over the MFP magic sugar cap frequently. I've also lost over 10% of my body weight eating this way (and drinking wine daily). IMHO I don't believe that sugar is the dietary equal to punching babies, killing puppies, or tripping old ladies. For me, it's moderation, balance, and honest tracking,…
