This might explain why I am STARVING right now! I've been eating the 1200 and besides being a total witch to my husband, I noticed today that I am starting to obsess over food and as I was reading your post I was sitting here eating 3 cups of air-popped popcorn. :(

Hi Molly, I'm from Texas too, add me :)

I had my daughter at 20 and she is now in college and fixing to spend the summer in England as an exchange student (doing great in other words). The nice thing about having a kid when you are young is that you can relate to them on so many levels and everything new they discover becomes new for you again. And, I also have…

to TinkrBelz, sorry, I didn't mean to be rude, if you've had 6 kids and are teaching zumba at age 41, I have nothing but respect for you. Is that a picture of your booty? Because if it is maybe I should get to the nearest Zumba class!

No problem, I think you'll like the results. It's easy to stick to. I have been doing the 10 minute video ave. every other day for about four weeks and I just threw out (donated) all my size 12 clothes, yay! If you do it every day the first week or so, you will see a difference. Let me know how it goes :)

I am a stay-at-home mommy to three, with an 8 month old. I do not have alot of time to devote to tummy exercise, nor do I teach zumba, ha. Anyway, try out Tiffany Rothe 10 minutes booty shaking waist on youtube. Believe me, you will thank me! It's easy, it's core strength, and you don't have to worry about dancing all over…

Hi bean! Regarding late night snacks, can you trade bisquits for a real fruit popsicle until you break the habit? It worked for me, I used to snack after 8:00. My advice, eat early, eat often, keep your portions down, and wean yourself from late snacking. Your scale will thank you ;) Good luck.

Good question and hotly debated here, I'm sure your post will get tons of responses. From my own experience the answer is somewhere in between. When I ate back all my calories burned I maintained my weight for two weeks. So I adjusted to eating back half my calories burned and have lost 2 pounds, give or take .5 in the…

Hi Willow, I'm kinda new to this too, one month, and am also on 1200 cal plan. From my own experience oatmeal in the morning is your best friend. If I didn't eat that I found that I was starving all day. Portion control also. High five on quitting smoking, I no longer smoke either and this website helped me stay focused…

lol, my first laugh of the day, three gays a week, that'll burn some calories for sure!

Hi, hi!! I'm forty-one with three kids under four years of age. I also have a daughter in college :). Please friend me, I'm new to using the community board but have logged food for four weeks. I have to get healthy now because these kids will need their mom. I know all about stress, lol, my 8 month old is teething as I…

Thanks, I'm going to check out this Kashi. As for my BMR, I did check when I created my account and on other web sites and that is correct for me since I am not on my feet all day. To be honest though, I am feeling a little light headed today. I am only aiming to lose about a pound a week, I'm in no hurry.

Speaking from my own experience, most definitly YES. By cutting out 1 soda a day you are potentially cutting out 100+ calories and portion control is probably the most important thing I have learned from logging in my food. I remember the first time I saw 4 oz of chicken, so tiny, but now I'm used to it. Hope this helps…

HILARIOUS, and so true! Stand tall for MOM, she would want you to! Love yourself, pamper yourself. Believe me, your mom's love surrounds and protects you, you have nothing to fear.

I think your parents need to back off and perhaps they are part of the problem. Tell them how you feel at a time when everyone is calm and perhaps they will understand that by putting you down they are doing you no favors. Your binge eating is filling a void, love yourself and take care of yourself. You do deserve it.

I quit 28 days ago. Go to whyquit.com for information on weight gain. Believe me, the benefits you gain by quitting out weigh any weight you might initially gain. On a personal note, cut out all alcohol, portion snacks early in the day in baggies and limit yourself to healthy snacks only. Good luck.
