An old thread - bump for others who have not read.

Not the healthiest snack but keeps the munchies at bay for a good hour at least: 2 slices deli ham rolled around about 9grams Philadelphia cream cheese, you can take it lower if you buy 1/3 less fat cream cheese.

Carbs, or carbohydrates, are molecules that have carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms. In nutrition, “carbs” refers to one of the three macronutrients. The other two are protein and fat. Dietary carbohydrates can be split into three main categories: Sugars: Sweet, short-chain carbohydrates found in foods. * Google

I enjoy plain Greek yogurt with frozen mixed berries and semi-sweet chocolates (the kind used for making chocolate chip cookies). About 200 cals and I savor every bite. I stock up at Costco so I can have it every night. 127g berries 100g yogurt 13g chocolate Enjoy :)

You look great, very healthy!! I am 45 and have a question: Did you take care of your skin while losing or is that good genes? Because you look so youthful. Great post, thanks for sharing.

No but sometimes I get very confused entering a food item because of the conflicting choices. I had 173grams salmon baked in the over without skin and I think it took me longer to finally decide on a similar salmon entry than it took me to actually eat it. I settled on 285cals.

Looking back at my ticker and realizing at some point in 2012 I was down to 130 and I never appreciated it. I'm at 153 right now and a long way to go to get back there. Maybe I will appreciate it this time.

I used to always underestimated and was missing out on those sweet calories. No wonder I was miserable. Weighing in grams has been a game changer because I'm not depriving myself and i can eat exactly what I have entered and not have to worry because the math takes care of itself. Now if I have a week of not losing I don't…

Okay. Thank you both for your responses. I have a tendency to over think these things and really didn't want to have to limit myself to 1300 calories. I do move so it's not as if I were sitting around all day but I'm certainly not on my feet all day, ie waitress as used in the mfp example of "slightly active" Thank you,…

I had no idea jars kept salads fresh longer. Must try!!!

Do you have a picture of yourself at your highest weight? I know when I look at pictures of me at my daughter's wedding I'm just nope! hell no! Sometimes that's all it takes. On the bright side, you haven't undone all your hard work and are aware you need to make changes now before it gets worse. So jump back in, and enjoy…

I gained weight with my IUD, and same, couldn't lose it. My husband had a vasectomy so I thought great and had mine taken out about 2 months later. I got pregnant with baby number 3, which we totally didn't plan on. So, yeah, be careful ladies. Oh, and he's 4 now :)

I replaced it with tea, something about the ritual of heating up the teapot, etc is calming and it keeps something in my hand instead of wine or beer. Try it. Also a hot bath to unwind.

Works great - had no problem. It looks very organized, this is going to be fun!

Yeah, oatmeal didn't work for me, unless you add some almonds and fruit or such. A lot of people can eat it and feel full until lunch so it just depends, but for me I have bacon and eggs and am good until lunch. Try something different and see if it helps. it's all part of the learning curve. good luck!

After many failed diets (paleo, lchf, military, you name it) a successful week for me is to keep it simple. I eat reasonably and stay within my calorie goal, ave. 1500 cals. I am just now incorporating exercise 5x a week. I've finally learned after all this time that crash diets don't work any longer, they did when I was…

I had a cupcake, then it turned into two cupcakes with milk and that's 800 cals over. Maybe need to rethink my over confidence. Funny how this isn't so easy, as easy as I try to make it. Any suggestions as to how losing track, convincing self you're naught losing track... I am afraid my "easy this" is turning into a wtf…

I'm super excited because when I woke up this morning I weighed per usual and the scale read 148.8!! First time I've been under 149 since January. I know, it's just a number but mentally I feel better weighing less than 150 after so long.

I have lost a little over 20lbs over 10 months, not really in maintenance but enough to give myself some leeway. I upped my calories to 1590 so I'm not starving on carbs like I would have on 1200 before I understood macros and learning how to use them for satiating hunger. If I didn't learn about lchf I would have remained…

To answer a few questions, I was not really missing out on carbs other than they are a fact of my life and while I could abstain I just didn't see it being something I could do forever so I wanted to try incorporating them over 3 weeks. I will say my stomache is more bloated but my weight has remained the same over this…

Yoga? And congrats on the baby!

Yes, well, that's a whole lot presumptions on your part. Not all of us hang out on the social board. I'd like to think you can ask for support without freaking people out that there's some weirdos out there waiting for your request so they can stalk you with their curse words and sexual innuendo.

... and the Internet was just fields... I love this

You ladies look beautiful.

I've decided low carb is for me, less than 100 grams, based on this post.

These are great answers.

Thanks, I turned them all off.
