  • In addition to an ice pack, have you tried using an ACE wrap or knee sleeve to help prevent the swelling in the first place?
  • One episode of an "hour" TV show (which is about 45 mins) if I'm at the gym OR however long it takes me to run/jog/walk 3 miles. Usually 3-4 times a week.
  • I use to like sports. Was a huge football fan. Now I work with team sports and the LAST thing I want to do on my day off is watch a football game. I don't know who's on what team, who beat who...many of my colleagues follow professional and college sports. They always want me to join in the conversation and see if I saw a…
  • I don't think Charlie has the clean, sophisocated look that I pictured Christian having. He's too rough and grizzly (not that ANYTHING is wrong with that! I love SOA)...Was hoping for Matt Bomer.
  • I have about five different ones scattered throughout the house, all non-scented...except my Hemps, which has a light scent, and I love the feel of it!
  • I force myself to run twice a week (between 1-3 miles because I hate it), I do a lot of yoga and biking...and right after I run I can never touch my toes. I always foam roll or spend some extra time stretching after I run.
  • I don't log Saturday or Sunday. It's a mental break. But, I'm still actively losing weight, so I feel motivated to at least log everything during the week when I'm on more of a schedule.
  • Biking is one of my favorite favorite things to do, ever!! I noticed more changes in my body when I started biking to the gym (as opposed to driving to it to stationary bike). Good luck to you! Once you get past "biker butt" you'll want to just keep going!
  • Nothing happens when I click the link. :( I just get the Search Groups page. I'm planning on doing yoga every day this month for National Yoga Month...though it may only be a few minutes.
  • Headstand!! ...slowly getting more successful.
  • I run and do yoga, but for most of my strength exercises I have a 15# kettlebell, a TRX, and excessive body weight. I feel like no matter how strong my legs feel after doing a round of lunges and squats they are jelly!! Lots of plank work for core and a good diet.
  • I've never had cous cous. But I have made quinoa. It kind of a nutty tasting rice. I don't make it very often but when I do I have to put stuff with it. It's also pretty filling, you don't need much.
  • I just bought a pair of Athleta Bettona Boyfriend jeggings...just ordered a second pair in Sangria!!! I love them! I wear my black ones with looser, longer tops...but not super baggy. I am 5'10" and am 220... a 16/18 in regular jeans. The jeggings I bought are XL Tall. Can't wait for this heat wave to end so I can wear…
  • Been working on Blue Highways for a long time...I might have to give it up. Also reading Breeders by Matt Beier. Inferno by Dan Brown is is on deck.
  • I have been anemic all my life...doesn't matter what I eat. I'm not low enough for them not to take my blood when I donate, but it's still below the normal. I've downed a bag of spinach before an appointment and it hasn't made a difference, probably doesn't help that I don't eat a lot of red meat. Although doc said any…
  • I started on flat but got clipless about a year ago. I still haven't adjusted and find myself unclipping often. But I'm doing better each time and steep hills aren't quite as difficult. (I am a super beginner as there are no real beginner trails where I live, so I'm still walking a lot.)
  • Doesn't matter...but I have to do it under because otherwise my cat will unroll the whole thing.
  • Though I didn't use Isagenix, I did use Advocare's 24-Day Challenge to get me going in the right direction. It forced me to change not only what I was eating, but the way I ate. I still take Advocare supplements because I like the way I feel on them. I don't crash at 2pm, I have more productive energy, etc. Isagenix is…

  • I don't like Fish pose.. it's awkward and bothers my low back. I am currently enjoying getting better at crow and headstand. I also really like twisting poses and hip openers.
  • Everyone AT the 5k will be supporting you!! Every race I've done there have been so many people on the sidelines cheering the runners on. I once signed up for a trail run, because it was benefitting a program I love, but didn't know the trail nor do I trail run much. That morning it was snowing/raining (it was in…
  • Do it!!! A spontaneous 5k a few years ago is what stated getting me focused on getting healthy. 3 miles was a lot further than I thought!! I do the same one every year and compare my times! They are a great way to push yourself a little harder...walk a little faster... I still can jog/run a whole 5k...but each year I…
  • Each time I attempt to lose weight, people start to notice at the 20 pound mark (I'm 5'10" and my heaviest was 260, recent lightest 214, current 224, goal 170). But I also wear more fitted clothes (always have, yoga pants, etc since I work with high school athletes). I lose a lot of "weight" in my face first...so I think…
  • I do a lot of walking for work and some jogging (I work at athletic events and am constantly going back and forth between fields). I don't log any of it. I only log planned "exercise."
  • My goal pose for the end of the year is...was(?)... headstand. I got up into it today, didn't touch the wall at all, really pushed and straightened with my shoulders, and I stayed in easily for ten breaths. I actually came down after ten because I started feeling that freakout moment building up. Ahhh!!! So excited. I am…
  • I got 11/13...but one of the ones I got wrong I wanted to go back and change. The other one I got wrong I flat out didn't know.
  • Drink lots of water and get a good fiber intake... keeps yourself running smoothly in new locations. I watch what I eat when on vacation, but I eat what I want.
  • I'm in northern WI... I wear capris 99% of the time. I have many pairs, all slightly different. My most favorite pair I got at Old Navy for $2. It's 85% Polyester, 15% Spandex. My second favorite pair is from Athleta. It's a 2-in-1, so it has a skirt attached. Again, mostly polyester with some nylon/spandex blends. I do…
  • Drug free since I was born (never even tried a cig). But not "sober".... I am not really a drinker, maybe two drinks a month. But I did give it ALL up for a year. Now just a glass of wine on some occasions. Never really had a taste for alcohol though.
