And I am exercising intensely. HR at 80-90% for long periods of time - typically 1.5 hour bike rides. I wear a Garmin so I know for a fact this info is accurate. Wondering if my body has become so acclimated to the same exercises that it's become super efficient at minimizing calorie burn, even with a high HR? Switched…

I log everything. However, I think that I MAY be overestimating calorie burn, as well as only eyeballing portions instead of weighing them. I do use the weight watchers spoons to measure my evening meals (morning and lunch are standardized - accurate) Gads…guess it's time to start weighing all of my dinners from now on.

Not on lithium, but I am on Wellbutrin, am a triathlete, and have a very, very large sweat rate as a result. I just make sure to get enough SALT when I am going long in the heat. That way I can drink to my heart's delight and not worry about hyponatremia - which is a very real threat when sweating a lot and consuming a lot…

Hi - I'm in my 40s and having a few mf pals would be great. Add me, please :)

I just got over this bug. Strange that it starts with indigestion. Totally stumped my doc - he gave me antacids and told me I had IBS. Yeah, riiiiiiight. I've been so sick. Ran a fever, body aches, horrible diarrhea, etc.

I'm thinking you've been to the doctor and had all your blood work done? Hypothyroid can keep you from losing weight.

Oh I hear so many different things! The sports nutritionist I consulted with out of pure frustration at my plateau said that I need to have 60% of my food from carbs, 20% from protein, 20% from fat. It didn't sound right to me - I need protein to feel full! I'm thinking less carbs and more protein, too! So confused. Wish I…

I know - it doesn't seem right. My RMR is 1660, and exercise 6-7 days a week, sometimes for hours at a time.

Hey I would like some 40s friends, too! I'm 47, married with a 28 year old son, and having the time of my life! Let's do this!!

3 weeks after to giving birth to my son, my mother looked at me and said " You're fat from your shoulders to your knees." I will never forget that. I was 19, and a size 14 (I'm 5'10"). My brother told me the song "Baby Got Back" was written especially for me. My older sister said she would die if her butt ever got as big…

Thanks, ladies. You've both given great advice. Being in my mid-40s sees my upper arms getting flabby, as well as other parts of my body - even with triathlon training. I will start weight training AND eating a bit more quality foods. I've heard this theory before, and I did increase my caloric intake (including the 10lbs…

I'm looking to get into strength training, so I'll hit up the group also.

I'm new to this site too. Looking for friends to walk this weight loss journey with!

Hello - I'm new to MFP (the online version - have used the iPhone app for a few months now). I also recently cancelled my WW subscription - WW quit "working" for me. I lost 45lbs then gained 15 back. Still need to lose 25lbs. Looking forward to sharing war stories as well as ideas and inspiration with all of you.
