I am absolutely the same. I have found, that like a smoker or other addict, a lot of the problem is habit. There are other factors too of course, but habit is a big one. For example, we all know smokers who light up the minute they get in the car, or crack a beer etc. Well, for me- as a food addict- the minute I put my…

Holy crap girl! TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!! No seriously, tell me! Whoa!

I weigh more than my husband. By about 30 lbs. I'm 5'6" and he's 6'. Do I like this? NO, I do not. However, I KNOW that my weight isn't a factor in how much he loves me. He met me when I was a lot slimmer, but he married me fat, so I figure he had a chance to bolt if he didn't like it! HA! Do you ever notice that, even a…

Do you find that stevia has a terrible after taste? I drink my coffee black, but popped some stevia in my Americano once and had to dump it, it was so vile!

Frankly, you can pry my morning coffee out of my cold dead hands.

I certainly do log them, but like others have said, I don't weigh low calorie veg like lettuce or cukes. I mean really, for me, eyeballing a handful of lettuce is two cups is fine IMO.

I believe it is mostly a habit thing. For me, I always used to read and eat, so now, of an evening I will open my book and immediately want to eat something. When I feel like that, I must put the book away or suffer the results! One thing I found really helped breaking the habit was making myself an herbal tea every time a…

I've been there, we all have. I know this is an old chestnut but "a journey of 1000 miles starts with one step" and isn't it absolutely true? I'm only 20 lbs into a 120lbs loss so I totally understand that the struggle is real. But listen, if it takes you three years, or more, at least you got there right? The wait is the…

THANK you so much everyone! I'm feeling inspired and ready for the challenge!

Thanks all, for the encouragement! I really have to just own where I am, and know that the hard work and discomfort I feel will be temporary. I don't know why I care so much about what other people think of me, but it's been a monkey on my back for a long time.

oh it's possible. I lost 40 lbs in two months once. I literally- no joke- starved myself. I fainted one morning (for the first time in my life) due to being malnourished. BUT HEY, I lost the weight! To absolutely no one's surprise I gained it all back (97 lbs total) plus a bonus ten. That's where starving myself got me.…

The change is nothing short of amazing. I won't comment on your surgery decision, because that is entirely a personal one, but well done, what you've done should make you very proud of yourself indeed.

Fantastic job, you look amazing! Has anyone ever told you that you look like Claire Danes? Maybe I'm nuts, but I totally see it.

I'm daily too, and occasionally more than once a day, but I'm making efforts to leave off on that crazy. I did manager to weigh once a week for a while, but I caved. To be honest though, I've never seen it have an effect on my weight loss. Just my level of obsession.

Have you tried probiotics and/or unpasturized fermented foods? They really do wonders for me.
