These are such great NSVs! Yesterday I realized that I need to buy new underwear because they were falling off! LOL

Mine is open and honest, although probably not very inspiring. LOL

You look awesome! Congrats on a great job!!!

I eat them. That's like the whole reason I exercise. LOL

Haha, I need a hot fudge faucet stat!

I'm in the don't "eat for two" camp. But I'm also in the "don't diet" camp. I would suggest that you eat as if you had gestational diabetes, even if you don't. I had it with both of my babies and both my OB and my nutritionist told me that really that's the way everyone should eat, all of the time. Basically you eat to…

I think that you should feel proud of yourself that you are going to the gym, and not worry about what other people are probably not even thinking anyway. You're all there for the same reason - to work on your health and get/keep your body strong, so why would anyone judge you for doing the exact same thing that they are…

My body likes higher protein too - what are you eating?

A typical (half) chicken breast is what, 150 calories tops? Bake and eat with a little bit of BBQ sauce, a ton of lightly steamed veggies, and a small portion of a starch and you should be good to go for under 500 cals easy.

I agree with all of this, especially the first paragraph. I had a GREAT rack in my late teens and early twenties (although I was "only" a 36C I was slim, so they looked big on my small body.) Then I had kids, breastfed, went up to a 38DD, but not nearly as perky, you get the picture, plus my body was bigger. Now I've lost…

Just don't compound the error by saying "Well, I already ate like crap this week (because of the cookies) so I may as well eat whatever I want this weekend, and then get back to the diet on Monday." That's what I always seem to do and it never works. Let one mistake be one mistake, instead of sliding into days and/or weeks…

I just don't bake. ;)

Hard to tell because pic is kind of dark...but we'll say 9 because you look healthy and fit. :)

This thread is amazing. I would have started reading these message boards long ago if I had known what a treasure trove they are. ETA: Just remembered that I actually did used to read them, many years ago. But glad to be back in the swing of things!

130 lbs weight loss! Totally inspirational! Also, very nice body. :)

Cute freckles!

Try a nice leisurely walk. It won't burn a ton of calories, but it also won't interfere with resting (I think - I try to go for a walk 7 days a week regardless of my workout schedule.) And then just eat something nutritious and move on. :)

Great post - I agree, I think that there has to be a middle ground. I think it's super important to model healthy eating for your kids and feed them healthy foods, but I also think that it can be taken to an extreme that is actually unhealthy for them in the long run. Like I said in my first post, my 3 year old is not on a…

Breakfast - I almost always bring a yogurt and 1/4 cup granola Lunch - depends on if you have access to a microwave. If so, I like to bring leftovers from dinner (in smaller sizes). I also bring a sammy and some carrots, or a salad and cottage cheese

I try to count everything. I think it depends on what you are doing to your veggies. Raw or steamed veggies are actually usually fairly low cal compared to everything else. I think that a nice sized salad (2 cups - about 50 calories before dressing) seems way more filling than 50 calories of rice or pasta. If salad…

Like! One of my big motivators for trying to get healthy is raising my son in a healthy environment so that he doesn't have to struggle with it the way I do. Having said that, my 3 year old is not on a diet, so I do allow him more snacks, treats, et cetera than I can afford to allow myself while I am working on actively…

Great job!!!!

This sounds awesome. I'm making this on Thursday!

Harsh! How is it even possible to be physically fit without working out?

Intelligence Sense of humor Kindness Morals, even about the small stuff (you want the kind of guy that, if he found a super nice cell phone on the ground, he would turn it in to lost and found or try to find the owner, not keep it for himself. KWIM?) Nice to kids, dogs, and servers (My dad always told me "Even if he's nice…

Isn't this why they say that weight loss is like 90% diet? Personally, I view working out along different lines. I don't think that working out is going to lose the weight, even though I make an effort to work out 6 days a week. I once read something where they were talking about exercise and weight loss, and they were…

Would you be willing to open up your diary? I think I may be misunderstanding exactly what you're eating because I don't know how you could get anywhere close to 2000 calories eating only green vegetables.
