i was on Prozac for 4 years and cymbalta for 1 and a half. Gained 60lbs on those meds. However, I was also in college and not exercising, and not eating right. But even at the end of my time with Cymbalta, when i was trying to eat right and start exercising, I found I was way too fatigued to exercise. As in, I was falling…

Just over 5'10" here. Age: 24 HW: 216lbs CW: 159lbs GW: 155lbs--from there, toning up and maintaining between 155-160lbs. Lightest I've ever been was 148 in high school. Don't think I could be that weight healthily again. I was pretty scrawny looking. If I can get to that weight by working out and eating around 1800 cals,…

Also a fellow banana. :) Was not surprised in the least.

I'm 5' 10 and a half inches tall and 24 years old. I have a more "athletic" or "straight" build (broad shoulders, thin arms and legs, but my hips and waist aren't that much different inches wise). I have a waist, but it's not a TON smaller than my boobs or hips. I wear a 36C bra, I'm between a size 8-12 pants depending on…

IMO If you gain more than 2 weeks in a row, then you might have a problem. I'd say keep doing what you are doing and see how it is in another week If you're still gaining, re evaluate. Otherwise, it could just be a fluke.

Don't worry about anyone else. Do what works for you. As you lose weight, log it and let MFP recalculate your cal goals. It will probably go down as you get smaller. Your body is used to consuming a large amount of calories. If you just jump into 1500 cals at your weight currently, you will feel horrible. Start slow. if…

^^ This. lol

I will add you! :) I am shy as well, and I won't feel bad if you don't reach out! But I'll do my best to comment and encourage you as I'm able. I'm at work a lot and don't always have time to get online to do much more than log my food, especially on weekends. I don't do Eat to live or Paleo (not because I disagree with…

5'10 and a half with an athletic frame (broad shoulders, larger calf muscles and ankles etc). Heaviest weight: 216lbs Current Weight: 161lbs Goal Weight: 150-155lbs Honestly I'm pretty content where I'm at right now. Just want to tone up. If I lose more weight in the process, cool. If not, then 161 is healthy for me. This…

Was also invisible in HS. If we had a 5 year reunion, wasn't invited. When I was a senior in hs, there were kids in my class that I had been to school with since kindergarten and had classes with the whole time that didn't know my name (my graduating class had 140 kids). There were only 5 girls in my HS class that I was…

lol you've got to be kidding me.

If it's your first 5k I'd say definitely do it. I ran the one in Louisville, KY for my first 5k and it was a great way to ease myself into the sport. It's super low key; it's not even timed. Most people walk, and there's people of all sizes and ages. You're welcome to run, but nobody would even notice if you had to walk.…

for me it was my face, shoulders and collar bone area. Then the area at the base of my ribs to my belly, my legs, and my arms. Hips and the pouch below the belly button are stubbornly staying put even 54lbs later. *sigh* time for serious crunches :)

My work is the same way. And I am also an "out of sight out of mind" person. My best solution has been to avoid the break room like the plague, unless I need to fill up my water bottle. And when I do that, I don't even look in the direction of the snacks. I head right to the water cooler, turn my back, fill up my bottle…

I'm not sure how entirely true that is; running builds strength on it's own as well. BUT I would recommend at least a little strength training anyway, simply because it builds your core and improves your form which makes running easier and more effective. Bad form while running can give you all kinds of joint problems and…

I guess it depends on how in shape you are. Rest days are ok...if you really need them. I started running last april, after not having run since high school (7 years). I ran 5 days a week, every week without fail until later in the summer when we started traveling and I had to miss a day here and there. My rest days were…

One of my favorite ways to eat chicken breasts is to take 2 of them, sprinkle marjoram, garlic powder, and onion powder on them, and then put them on the george forman grill, or bake them. Then I eat half of one (about 2 oz) for dinner with some other side, and the rest are great for sandwiches during the week, chicken…

5'10" here, 163lbs currently and hoping to get to about 150-155 if i can do so healthily. otherwsie I'll be happy to stay around 160 as long as I'm in shape. I started out at 216lbs so I consider myself pretty victorious already! feel free to add me if you want :)

Don't take it personally, they just want your monies :) Edited to say: you are a beast. that pose in your pic is awesome. You rock.

^^ I don't know much about Bipolar medications specifically, but I have anxiety and depression and was on antidepressants for six years. I chose to go off them because of the side effects--they made me so incredibly tired I could hardly move. I was falling asleep driving. I am NOT suggesting you go off your medication. I…

Bring a banana and a jar of peanut butter along with your bread. My favorite bread for toast is Brownberry Oat bread. Full of fiber, lots of texture and flavor and very filling. Put a little peanut butter on the toast and slice up a banana on top. Delicious and a nice change up from plain buttered toast. It's also really…

In fact, honestly, if that's all you have to lose, i'd focus on toning up and building some muscle and not even worry about the scale except for maybe once every couple of weeks to keep an eye on it. Building muscle and toning up with help you lose a few inches if you feel a bit doughy, and you may lose a few lbs doing…

if you only have 5-10lbs to lose, you should not be trying to lose 2lbs a week. that's dangerous and you'll lose muscle. With that little weight to lose, you should be trying to lose .5 a week at most. Just be patient.

Nobody here can give you motivation--just support and encouragement! I almost never have motivation. At least, not consistently. Motivation, I think, is an emotion, and emotions change all the time. You have to just DO it. Whether you feel like it or not, whether you want to or not, whether you're excited to or not,…

took me 5 weeks of running 1 mile every day for it not to be torture. . . took another month or two of every other day, plus a 5k under my belt to enjoy it, and a few weeks of running lightly due to an injury and another 5k for me to be excited about it. It takes a long time, especially if you're starting from barely being…

My office has a ton of perks because it's a small office. No potlucks, but the sales manager is always buying lunch for us from panera bread/ruby tuesdays/jimmy johns/bob evans/pizza, the owner brings in fresh bagels and donuts from some bakery several times a week. Also on everyones birthdays, our operations manager buys…

When I saw my collar bones and clavical in the mirror for the first time, I jumped up and down in my bedroom stark naked and yelled "I CAN SEE MY COLLAR BONES!!!!" over and over. My husband was in the next room and thought I was nuts...haha

what do you eat??? i mean this sincerely. i am often starving still even after 1300-1400 cals a day. I try to get a lot of protein in, but sometimes it doesn't seem to matter--i'm still starving. I'm curious to know what foods your'e eating that are making you feel so full even after so few calories. Although, it is true…
