wow...answers pretty evenly divided between eat and dont eat. in the end I fell asleep while waiting for responses so the winner was....NOT eat! I thank you all for your support and encouragement! I love mfp for this very reason!

at my largest...around 280...i was uncomfortable in 24/26...now at 242 im barely hanging on in a 22, but 20 is a little uncomfortable.

good to know that "raw" oats are edible (in my googling, i see that they are acutually steamed before being rolled and so are not technically raw). but i will need to up my water to make up for absorption after eating! and i love some of the other suggestions posted. thank you all!

i get up at 5 and dont get to eat again until around 1, so breakfast has to be good (i do eat little fruit or something around 9). my usual is 1/2 cup of grapenuts with just enough 2% milk to float 'em. but my son thinks i have a cow in the backyard so there is not always milk, so...two slices of toasted whole grain bread…
