Yoga. There are several DVDs out there (www.gaiam.com) that are specific to back problems, arthritis, etc. I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for almost 10 years so I understand the fatigue and the pain issues. I've also been in two major car accidents that have left me with neck and shoulder pain so I get it. I swim with the…

Support is what you will get around here. I'll join the ranks if you want to friend me.

Compliment her realistically and specifically. Like, "I'm really proud that you did ....this today." or "I like how that shirt looks on you, now." I hate empty, generic compliments. They sound fake and don't make me feel any better about myself.

Totally with you. I haven't had a soda in at least a decade so if I crave anything -- it's water.

I've been on the Nuvaring for 3 years. No weight gain. Cannot say the same for the cupcakes. :)

Green onions, spray butter and a dollop of daisy (the light kind). Nom nom nom. Thanks for the Baked Potato craving. LOL.:drinker:

Have you tried doing workouts on DVD at home? Jillian Michaels has put out some kick-butt workouts that have really helped me. I can't afford a gym membership, but I can certainly shell out 10 bucks at Walmart. You know?

That Jillian Yoga DVD is INTENSE. You should compare it to Vinyasa Flow Yoga vs Hatha Yoga. Hatha is mainly stretching and doesn't burn very many calories for the time you put into it (but of course, the benefits far exceed the calories burned anyway). But VInyasa Flow is butt-kicking yoga. I see a Yoga Calculator has…

Enough potassium will help your body flush the sodium. Restaurants are notorious for overloading their food with sodium. It's gross. I have fluctuated as…

I lost 15 inches in my first two weeks. And the scale didn't budge. But those measurements kept me going to week 3. It's a pain, but it's worth it.
-
Have you been taking your measurements? When I first started, this is all I lost. Still not cool when the scale won't budge, but if you can focus on the inches...it's less discouraging. :glasses:

Hahahhaha. My mom says that all the time. Thanks!

Thanks for all the encouragement! Rock on!

Swimming! I swim 40-50 minutes every morning with the kickboard (to keep from drowning).
