I am more of a lurker because I feel like there are so many more people more knowledgable than me (everyone who's been listed on this thread) who can answer questions. I have learned a lot so thank you all for your awesomeness.

@Elise4270 I considered that maybe my shoes are the problem but I don't think so. I changed them out in February and I think they only have around 150 miles on them. I'm ordering another pair this week to see if it helps. I can't tell if the problem is in my calf or shin.

Congratulations, @kristinegift !!! I tried to run today and my right lower leg got really angry with me again. I'm going to try out an indoor track tomorrow and hope I'll be able to run at all in June.

Thank you for setting this up again, Stan. I missed my 65 mile goal for May so I'll go for it again in June.

@skippygirlsmom That is so exciting that your other half is home. Six months is a long time. Enjoy your vacation! 5/27 2 miles. I was trying out some new shoes but I do not like them so hopefully I can return them and get another pair of my usual ones.

5/25 Bolder Boulder 10K (watch miles were 6.36). I finished in a little under 90 minutes which isn't great but considering I haven't run much this month to take care of my leg it was fine as its my training pace. My leg didn't hurt so hopefully now I can get back to my schedule. I would like to run it again next year and…

I ran two easy and slow miles yesterday and my right lower leg is still not feeling great. I am just going to keep resting until my 10k on Monday and pray that I can make it through it. I have heard that the Bolder Boulder course is not an easy one. I am hopeful the adrenaline of race day will help. I wish I knew what was…

Congrats to all the racers this weekend! I love the pictures of all the running companions. 5/16 7 miles. I was scheduled for 8 but made it to 7 and felt that was enough for today. I haven't ran much this week in order to let my calf rest and I really felt it today. I hope that Jeff Galloway is correct in saying that you…

I think I am going to miss my goal this month. My right calf has been bugging me for a bit. I rested it for a few days and did two slow miles yesterday. When I tried to run today it felt pretty bad so I think I am going to rest it some more this week. I had my doctor take a look on Monday and she didn't seem concerned. I'm…

5/8 2 easy miles. I have a dr appointment on Monday to hopefully find out why my heart rate at an easy pace has been going up the past month or so instead of down. 2 miles in the 14mm rage should not have gotten my heart rate up to 182. Any ideas? :/

@SBRRepeat I really hope you feel better soon! @Training2BeFast I am so sorry to hear that you are injured. :( 5/6 5 miles (3 tempo)

5/5 2 slow miles. I created a Runner's World SmartCoach plan to get me to a half marathon in October. I am really hoping I can do the race in the time it says I can so I am just going to go with it and hope for the best. In other news, I should probably pay attention to the weather before I head out. I didn't realize it…

5/2 7.5 miles I never really found my zone today and it was a pretty blah run but I got it done which I guess is what matters.

I am just a bit outside of Boulder, CO.

SBRRepeat, I hope your ankle feels better soon! 5/1 3 miles. Friday runs are always fun since they are the day after deadlifts. :s

Thank you for providing these challenges, Stan. I have found so much encouragement and motivation through them. I am in for 65 miles in May.

4/29 4.5 miles and goal! I missed out on 7 miles at the beginning of the month when we were in NY so I am glad that I made it. :)

Congratulations to all those who participated in a race this past weekend. Awesome! 4/27 3 miles

Nice race, SonicDeathMonkey! You are awesome, Nottafattie! I ran 7 miles today in just a few minutes under SonicDeathMonkey's half split time. That's the longest I have run so far though and I felt pretty good about it. Nice and easy. I am pretty sure I sabotaged myself by reading that runner's trots thread yesterday…

4/17 3 miles I am glad that I finished when I did. Not long after I was done it started to hail a bit.

4/15 4 miles

4/13 3 miles Felt pretty great today. I think I need to set an alarm on my phone to foam roll regularly. I seem to run better after remembering to do that.

Awesome, @skippygirlsmom!! 3 miles for me today. I have myself scheduled for 20 miles this week since I moved yesterday's run to today. I know a lot of you run much more than that but that just seems crazy to me that I am running that much. Hopefully everything goes according to plan.
-
4/10 3 miles I haven't ran in almost a week and that felt tough for my legs this morning. I skipped my Monday run because I was worried I wouldn't have time to shower before heading to the airport. We went to NYC for a couple days so I ended up missing my Wednesday run also. I probably should have foam rolled when we got…

I ran 6.5 miles today. That's the farthest I have gone so far and now I am feeling pretty good about being able to complete the Bolder Boulder in May. Hopefully. I do have a question about cadence. I know that the ideal cadence is 180 for a minute but is there a range that is also acceptable? My Forerunner 220 said that my…

@4leighbee I had picked that ticker out also. :) I had to run with my 4 year old in the jogging stroller today and I wasn't feeling super motivated. My Garmin Forerunner 220 came today though so I had to go try it out. I ended up doing 3 miles using 3 minute run/1 minute walk intervals. I really like the watch.
