Since it is getting harder to run instead of easier have you considered a medical issue? Maybe anemia or Vitamin D deficiency? What is your calorie intake? Are you fueling your body?

I think you look great. You have the look that I hope to have some day.

You need to switch to the Rundouble C25K app. The first week is 60 sec of running, 90 sec of walking. I think you will find that to be much more manageable. Run slowly, I mean ridiculously slow, I almost jogged in place sometimes. Your goal right now is to get through the intervals, don't worry about your time, that will…

[/quote] NO NO NO..... please go on http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ enter you information and find out your TDEE and BMR. BMR is basically the minimum cals you should eat, TDEE is your maintenance cals. Subtract about 15%-20% off your TDEE to give you your defeicit calorie range. I can guarantee it will be higher than…

Marinate the chicken in this. I know it sounds weird, I was skeptical too, but it is so good. You also can use poultry seasoning instead of the Old Bay. 1 egg, beaten 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 cup cider vinegar 4 tablespoons bell seasoning or 4 tablespoons chesapeake Old Bay Seasoning 3 cloves garlic,…

I went to college and I did not drink. Believe it or not there are many people that choose not to go crazy in college.

I would get a second opinion. There are some great chiros and then there are some that just want your money. I am lucky, I have a great chiro, I just go in when I am in pain. When I first started I went a couple times a week, now I only need to go once every two or three months. I really don't think it should take 40…

Yes, I had the same problem when I increased my exercise but not my calorie intake. I started eating 200 to 300 more calories and the scale finally moved again.

I'm a teacher and my lunch hour is 11:30, so I eat between 11:30 and 7:30. I don't do it during the summer. I like it because it helps me control my calorie intake. I always eat more in the evening, so it is perfect for me.

I agree with fitnessblender.com. I love that you can search according to what type of workout you want to do (strength training, cardio, yoga, etc.), you can choose the difficulty level, and what type of equipment you want to use.

I just looked at your food diary, one thing, you are not eating nearly enough for all the cardio you are doing. If your diary is correct I don't know how you aren't exhausted. I would suggest cutting back on the cardio and kicking up the strength training.

I'd like to join, I don't mind what team, any would do.

I will pretend that my kids or other family members have been waiting a long time to see me and they are at the end of my run. If I'm on the track and I'm alone I will close my eyes and think of the time my son was running and said "this feels like flying", because sometimes it does.

I'm 40 and my latest was 13:55 and that is great for me. As long as its a little faster than the time before!

I have had shin splints and still struggle with them sometimes and the pain is not in your ankles or knees, it is along the shin. It sounds like one of your problems is doing too much too fast. Since you have just started you should not be running every day, give your body rest days. I did C25K last summer and started…

Think of the money we are saving by eating less, not wasting money on fast food, ect. I saw a website once that figured the amount of money you were saving by eating less calories. It was quite a bit. Anyway, I don't look at it as a reward really, but when I get to size 12 I am going to buy some new clothes. My size 18s…

Sorry, I disagree with this. You don't have to be under 200lbs to run, I was 207 when I started running. I know several people that were over 200 when they started.

Email MFP support if you can not get it to work. They were great about helping me resolve my issues. I was accessing MFP through my computer and my android phone. When the android app updated it caused issues. If you use android go into settings, steps, and make sure Fitbit is marked. This got me up and running again.…

^^ This. No matter what happens never give up, DO NOT STOP! My husband got very sick, almost died, and I stopped counting calories. I gained 15 lbs, when I regained my senses it took forever to get back where I'd been.

How many calories are you eating? You have to fuel your body or you will be hungry and tired. I would check with the doctor just to be safe.
-
Kimsied, thank you for your posts! You are the first person to explain all this in a way that I understand!

I love Rundouble. I used it for my C25K and now I use the free run setting. I used to us Mapmyrun, but it was never as accurate as Rundouble.
-
I walked 2 or 3 miles a day for quite a while before I started C25K. Don't beat yourself up for starting slow, you are moving and that is what is important!
-
Thank you! I'm almost 43.

ShonnieC -41? Sorry, we posted at the same time. Teresamwhite - 30?

I agree with the others I think it is a mental block. I was 41 years old and 200lbs when I started running and I got through C25K without repeating any weeks. As others have said, the only warm up you need is the 5 minute walk. Make sure you are going slow, don't worry about speed at this point. I mean run SUPER slow, when…

You look amazing! Our stories are similar, I put on most of my weight when I had postpartum depression with my last child. I actually enjoyed being fat, until it got to the point where I couldn't breath when I laid down at night. I started at 227 (size 18) and I am now 188 (almost in a size 12). Its taken me 2 years. Keep…

Beautiful! Your story is so inspiring, I think it shows that this journey we are on isn't just about our physical bodies, but also what is going on in our heads. I have found that so much mental healing has come as I am more and more successful in getting healthier.
