I love noom and it has really helped me change my attitude towards food, but their food log is worthless. Every item I log, I have to correct the calorie count. Regardless of where I log my food, I always verify the calories.

I'll invite you as soon as it is built.

Hey! I'm trying to put together a small weight loss support group on Discord where we could have regular voice chat meetings to discuss our successes and challenges. If you are interested, I'll keep you posted on when it will be up.

Technically, this is still a selfie

My goal is to loose 60 lbs and get to 200 lbs. I know people have different comfort levels so I'm happy with whatever help I can get. Ideally, I'd love to be able to communicate daily and check-in also, be able to check in when I am feeling I need help with willpower/motivation.

What difference have you seen?
-
Yes. I am here...I am everywhere....in the shadows I dont know why I wanted to write that. Reading it, it sounds creepy.

Welcome, I'll be 52 in October.

@Alzzi76 It does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not stop moving.

These are great goals! It is much better to have actionable goals that you have control over than a vague goal of "lose 2 pounds" or whatever it is in your country. And I love the fact that you only have a few manageable goals rather than a big list. Focus on small habitats you can do daily like the ones you mentioned…

I am also a disabled American Veteran who is very fortunate to be able to live normally and productively in spite of any small physical challenges I have. Also, thank you very much for your service and sacrifice. The world needs more men like you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog/profile and respond thoughtfully. I agree with everything you said. I guess I'm not going to war with myself so much as I am my addiction to food. It is very hard for me to exercise and make good food choices. I suppose I am weaker and therefore need stronger language to…

It has happened to be and I assumed it was something I did. Glad to see I was wrong. It hasn't happened in a few weeks now.

I guess it depends on how you define "real men". Navy Seals and other Tier One direct action operators do yoga.

I'm BACK! And I'm in. Let's do this thing. Everyone feel free to add me as a friend for support, motivation and accountability.

I weight myself every morning. I only take notice once a week because I realize that daily weight can fluctuate but I get on the scale every morning as a reminder to me what my ultimate goal is and as a daily recommitment to myself.
-
Folks can feel free to add me as well. I'm usually pretty good with motivation.
-
That's awesome and I agree. When I'm out with the kids I stay within my calories even at McD

For all the exercise you're doing, are you eating enough calories? If you are not eating enough calories your body will crave sugar and carbs. Also, protein helps curb hunger. Sometimes when I get the munchies I will snack on fruit or some other low calory indulgence like popcorn.
-
The cravings will go away in about 4 to 5 days. Drink lots of water and eat high protein foods.

I'm closer to 52 than I am to 51.
