That's great! I can't wait till a few old things in the back of my closet fit too. It's cool that your wife didn't mind the shirt was given to you by a previous sort of fling. There's hope for the rest of us yet:)

Good for you for starting now instead of waiting till you feel like it's out of control. I'm sure you will get back into shape in no time. This is a great site and I can only suggest that you look up your foods first before you eat them because you will be surprised to learn some of the calorie content in things. If you…

I'm 49 and am experiencing the same thing. My 51 year old husband has lost more weight than me without even trying!!! I can only admit that I don't drop any weight unless I eat way under my allotted 1200 calories (I mean like 1000 or less) for several consecutive days (like a week) then I feel starved and I go back to my…

I never eat the extra calories I'm allowed from exercising and I don't know why but I don't lose weight unless I stay well below my 1200 calories (at least under 1000) which it says you're not supposed to do and it's hard to do but that's what it takes to get my body to cooperate with me. I seem to have a pattern of doing…

Whatever you do don't weigh yourself while mother nature is visiting..save yourself the frustration. But you can still take evening strolls to get a little exercise in and you can look up those calories before you even put the food in your mouth. It's quite an eye opener. When I feel like you just described I have to admit…

I think it's a bad idea to weigh in at that time of the month due to the frustration it can cause. Also if you lost due to illness and regained the same amount that's just your body trying to be healthy. Lighten up and keep the steady loss you've already achieved. Remember it's a marathon...not a sprint.

Hang in there girl!!! Remember you are your own best friend. When I fear temptation I drink a juice about 15-30 minutes prior to eating so I will already start to feel full and won't be so tempted by what other people are eating. It really works for me. They say you start to feel full in 10 but it seems to take longer for…

I really think the journey is different for everyone due to our unique bodies. For me I have family saying I'm losing weight (I think just to make me feel better because they know I'm trying hard), and I have lost 10 pounds but I don't see it when I look in the mirror and I can't feel it in my clothes. So I'll just keep…

Hi. I've heard that when you make a dietary change it can cause bad dreams because of toxins leaving the body (especially if you're drinking the water in addition to the exercise). It should pass if that's the cause. Sometimes we just go through dream cycles and you're probalby anxious about all of it and the dreams might…

Wow! Thanks for posting those pics! It not only gives me incentive to push on toward my goal of losing 30 pounds but makes me realize how that extra weight really looks on me. Sometimes it's harder to see it on yourself. Congrats and keep the faith:)

Hey congrats! I lost 5 lbs my first week - then a couple - then I gained back 4 and although discouraging it was my fault for poor choices. Working my way back down again and trying to be realistic about my goals and my health. It's supposed to be ideal to lose 2 lbs a week for the long term so it stays off and you don't…

I have found an exercise that I can do at work for my lower tummy!!! As I sit at my desk I hold a 3lb ball between my feet and just raise and lower it. Part of the time with knees bent and sometime with legs straight. It doesn't seem to affect the upper abs but I'm not concerned with a 6 pack. I alsojust want to tone up my…

Hang in there...you CAN do it! Good for you for giving it another try. This tool makes it so easy to count calories it's great. Now if we can just keep our hunger at bay that would help. Everybody says to eat several small meals a day and I'm finding that helpful although I've always been a skeptic of that. I'm sure like…

Hi - I haven't been doing this very long but I try not to eat the extra calories. If I don't meet my daily amount at the end it will tell me I haven't eaten enough and my body will think it's in starvation mode and hold on to the calories. But I feel better about myself if I go a tiny bit under than over. I lost a total of…

Hey I just started in May also 2 weeks in - I lost 4 lbs first week and 1 last week but I can track my diet and see why so I'm hopeful that this will work. Another 40 pounds to go. good luck and hang in there. MM

First of all please don't starve yourself due to aunt flo. That just puts your body into starvation mode and it tries to hang onto what ever calories you give it. It's very important to continiue to eat your alloted number of calories daily so your blood suger stays level and you won't get dizzy and have nausea. As for…
