  • Losing weight and strength training will help reduce cellulite. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water (8 16oz glasses a day). If you are dehydrated the cellulite will appear more prominent.
  • It's sad how lazy people are. My former workout buddy makes excuses every week why she can't work out with me. "I'm tired, I have to go to the grocery store, or I'm going to happy hour." It's a shame because I am offering to let her work out for free at my gym with my complimentary guest passes and we pass the gym driving…
  • To me the Fitbit seemed like a glorified pedometer. If you do decide to get one go with the bracelet. I got first model a few years ago that clips to your pants/bra. I threw my sports bra in the wash forgetting that the Fitbit was present. I was able to revive it the first time I washed it by accident, but the second time…
  • Tried Shirataki Noodles a few years ago, but I didn't try pan frying them. Going to give them a second chance! Thanks for the post!
  • I love upbeat music when I workout, but "Mr. 305" aka "Mr. Worldwide" aka "Pitbull" is starting to get on my nerves.
  • Ugh, hate people that don't wipe down their machines! I am currently sick because of germs I caught from the gym.
  • Having the same problem when I run. I stretch, but my ankles and shins are weak so I'm trying to to make them stronger with toe lifts. In the meantime I'm all about the advil and bananas!
  • I have a protein shake for breakfast almost every morning. If the smoothie satisfies you just as much as the salad I see nothing wrong with making the replacement.
  • If you have high cholesterol I would not make frequent trips to Dairy Queen. You can get your calories and fat from nuts, avocados, peanut butter, and greek yogurt instead.

  • According to Shape Magazine you burn 500-700 calories per hour while Stand up Paddleboarding. http://www.shape.com/fitness/extreme-fitness-how-many-calories-did-you-burn?page=4
  • My husband thinks my purse is my "Macgyver bag of tricks". Besides my wallet, keys and cell phone I carry everything from makeup, tide-to-go-sticks, bobby pins, safety pins and sometimes healthy snacks like almonds. I can see the desire to carry a man bag. You wouldn't have to sit on your wallet or worry about your keys…
  • I made a similar recipe that I found on pinterest. The cauliflower "crust" smells pretty stinky when you are baking it, but luckily it tastes awesome!
  • I had to ween myself off of the Diet Coke gradually. Each day I would drink a little less at lunch until I just made the switch to water. Excedrin Migraine got me through the headaches.
  • Love your bathing suit!
  • I see your point, but if the chores were already part of your daily routine why would it count as exercise? Folding laundry doesn't even involve walking.
  • I don't sweat while doing chores like I do at the gym. Unless you are doing lunges and squats while vacauuming I am going to say "don't count housework as exercise".
  • It's this!!! We are all hungry!!! That and the fact that people think they can be mean and nasty when they are sitting behind the protection of a computer instead of someone's face.
  • If you don't want to log in your meals and you can't find time to exercise then you probably don't really want to lose weight. There is no magical pill - just willpower.
  • Since I am already eating a healthy diet I would probably gain weight from adding a cereal that consists of white rice, wheat gluten, and sugar to my diet. Plus cereal always makes me hungry an hour later where as protein rich foods leave me full. I imagine if you are eating the cereal instead of fast food you could lose…

  • I avoid step aerobics classes because I am a clutz and have no coordination. I'd much rather take a spin class or kick boxing any day! I used to avoid running on the treadmill, but the elliptical got too easy so I am giving running another chance. Hating the shin splints I get while running, but I am hoping I won't get…
  • If you don't have hours to blow at the gym maybe just try to squeeze in a 20 minute work out video? Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred is one of my favorites when I am crunched for time. I've also learned to ask for help. My laundry has doubled since I started actively working out so I've asked my husband to help me with the…
  • Do you really want to drag your scale with you on vacation? A more portable option would be measuring tape. You can track your waistline and worry about the scale when you get back. Chances are if you are more active on vacation than you are at home you won't gain too much weight if you cheat on your diet.
  • I feel your pain. I work in front of a computer all day and always feel sluggish if I don't take breaks and walk around the office. If you are crashing around 3pm maybe you could schedule a healthy snack during that hour to boost your energy. (Raw vegetables and hummus, fruit and cheese, or unsalted almonds are all great…
  • @aquarabbit Great link! Thanks for sharing!
  • Yum, thanks for sharing!
  • I bumped my calories up to 1,300 calories. Even though I'd love to lose two lbs. a week I had to give myself a more realistic goal. 1,300 calories is still low, but manageable and if I exercise I get to eat back some of my burned calories.
  • Seems like a good deal to me! I am currently paying $45/month at LA Fitness Signature (in Tampa, FL) for just myself. My husband pays an additional $45 to attend the same gym. The cheapest gym membership I've found in my area was at Shapes Total Fitness for Women. I got a gym member ship for $300 ($25 per month), but I had…
  • If you have chicken and black beans you could have a Spanish feast!
