  • i'm not in the same boat because i just don't like booze that much. but... watching all the drunk people make tits of themselves is even funnier when you're straight!
  • i only get unpleasantly stalked in the flesh. my online stalkers have, so far, all been decent guys.
  • i've cheated! i'd been seeing & sleeping with a guy for a while. one night i wasn't in the mood but he didn't take no for an answer. the next night i went and slept with another guy... i wanted to wash away that feeling by having sex i wanted and on my terms. for me it was about taking back control of my body as soon as…
  • i don't count. just whenever i feel like it. sometimes i'll only eat an evening meal with the kids, other times i'll graze all day. i pander to my body and give it whatever it asks for. it likes red meat, avocado and beans today.
  • I've deleted friends for that. When I had flu and barely managed 300 a day, the 'way to go!' was more irritation than I was willing to put up with. Now I don't close my diary at the end of the day, and that way it doesn't show up at all.
  • it's a crying shame that farming has sunk so low. It doesn't have to be that way! I could walk 15 minutes from my house and be in a field with healthy, contented, playful bullocks that have never known cruelty. That beef is a little more expensive but it's well worth it.
  • I was raised vege but now eat meat. I do make a point of being an ethical meat eater though. I only eat uk meat (we have some of the strictest rules regarding farm welfare) and choose free range, freedom food, farm assured or, better yet, game. I suspect it's healthier to eat too, with a diet of grass instead of wtf…
  • Dude sounds like a crushing bore. Congrats on not punching him, which must have been tempting.
  • a lot of charities are like that these days. a tiny percentage of the money taken in actually reaches the cause. when i see the people heading along my street, door to door, i google what their chief execs get paid so that i can compare it to my income. i let the well intended know exactly why i feel justified in declining…
  • which, by happy coincidence, provides the publicity to attract more fools.
  • it's a big business. lots of money to be made from conning donations out of well meaning fools.
  • a slight tangent, but you made me think of this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jainism jainists take life to be sacred to the point that they will eat a leaf (which a plant can regrow) but not a seed or bulb (which would be the death of a plant). they watch the ground for fear of stepping on bugs.
  • and that has to do with ''a big word'' how? and, for crying out loud, it's not even a big word! it's a common word in common use! how your feeling picked on justifies that is beyond me. but no, you feel free to celebrate your ignorance. revel in it!
  • in the uk it's pretty easy to buy free range, farm assured or freedom foods. better yet, my local butchers buy from local farmers. i can see the animals grazing.
  • i don't need to try to be cute. and, no, you genuinely offend me with your narrow minded disdaine for any vocabulary wider than your own. you weren't arguing his points, you weren't pointing out his mockery, you were pointing a petty finger at the 'big word', as if knowledge of your own language is something shameful.…
  • and what exactly does that have to do with being offended that somebody knew a word you didn't? a grown up might... oh... google! google the term, learn something new. not poke fun at other people for using 'a long word'. and you claim to be enlightened? does knowledge only count as a good thing if you get to feel like you…
  • oh good grief! way to kill your own argument. ridiculing a person for using a common term? that's less than i would expect from a middle school child. inverse snobbery is a pathetic thing. it stops far too many people from striving to improve themselves.
  • shave if you feel better shaving, but i just want to let it be known that i've always found fur on a man to be very attractive. i would be over the moon if a partner of mine were as furry as you are naturally. different strokes, etc.
  • i used to hate offending people but, a few stalkers & sexual assaults down the line, offending people doesn't bother me at all. lots of creeps see you not telling them to jog on as you accepting their attention. if somebody says something inappropriate i just look them right in the eye and say, ''that's completely…
  • in this context? most people are completely unaware of how their food is produced. i would say i have seen some enlightening footage. i choose to eat free range, farm assured meat that's farmed and slaughtered in the uk. 'course, if pigs didn't want to be eaten they shouldn't have tasted like bacon.
  • i prove this to myself once a month, without fail.
  • i tinker with my settings a lot. i know that the site tells me i'll burn 69 cals on a 6 minute run whether i'm 140 or 300 pounds. i know that if i set my goal at 130, 2 pounds/week, mfp will tell me to eat 1200.
  • that's the one. a huge number of people here eating 1200 are posting that mfp set that as a goal. i can see how it's tempting to aim at 2 pounds/week, but nobody with only 15 pounds to lose should be able to select that!
  • so... being responsible for ten deaths instead of 50 isn't something a person can make a moral choice over?
  • i was raised vege, so i didn't have a choice as a kid. i was frequently attacked by the ''you think you're sooo moral!!'' prats. i eat meat now but i see no issue with a person wanting to minimise the amount of animal lives taken. and that's ignoring the environmental impact of eating meat. (i post this whist tucking into…
  • i honestly don't get the eating clean, making bad choices & being accountable guilt trip that a lot of people are on. eat wrong & you won't feel as good. eat too much and you'll gain weight. why do people turn it into naughty/good, moral/sinful, proud/ashamed thing? it's food! like running any engine, we tinker about with…
  • yup, that extra fastener at the shoulder blades is fantastic!
  • it's not even a decision for me. i've got no reason to make it public. i don't need advice and i don't fancy myself as inspirational. what is there to gain from people snooping at my food?
  • Chance. I was a bored home maker, walking past their office one day, on a whim I walked into the office and asked for a job, they hired me on the spot. I'm a million times too overqualified for it but I love the humanity of it.
