I'd vote Yes! I love walking, but since losing my dogs the lovely long walks stopped, it was too tough for me to go on my walks without them. So, I dusted off my old treadmill, turned up the radio and off I went....it's not quite the same, but it works for me now. I also have a bad knee (ligament damage) and have found…

Well done, that's a fantastic achievement on all levels.....keep up the great work and positive attitude. :drinker:

I'm 5' 10 and am half way to goal.
-
Wow! What a transformation......you actually look like you're the daughter of the lady in the first photo....amazing!

I'm 5' 10 and at 16st 13lb I wear a size 20-22 depending on the shop, though my waist fits an 18. When I was a size 16 I weighed between 12 and 13 1/2 stone. Each size for me is about 21lbs. I'm an hourglass, which is a pain as my hips to waist measurements just don't work with clothes sizes.
-
Yaaay! I'm finally back to being an hourglass instead of a pear! Albeit a rather generous one.

Ooops double post! Just ignore me..........:grumble:

I have my calorie goal set to a typical non exercise day. I have a fitbit, which I do not sync and go by my TDEE, therefore I always go over my goal......Red numbers don't scare me because I know what I'm doing....My goal is just that....a minimum goal. I use MFP as a tool and use it in a way which suits me.
-
For me each dress size covers about 21lbs. I'm 5.10.
-
This. I then upgraded to 8.1 and wouldn't want to switch back to the older versions.

You really don't need to worry about exercising, concentrate on the physio and your recovery. Work out the appropriate daily calorie intake for you and eat at a reasonable daily deficit from that. Don't slash your calories unnecessarily low! The calorie deficit will create weight loss. Good luck with your surgery.
-
I weigh daily and record that on Fitbit which syncs with Trendweight. I record on here weekly and monthly.

I've gone down a band size and up a cup size. All good!!

Hiya, I'm an emotional binge eater....my profile tells more about my struggles. Drop me a few words and a friend request if you fancy being a pal. Good luck.

I'm 5' 10, started with about 112lbs to lose, I'm 50lb down but still a long way to go.....so will be here for a while yet! Feel free to add me
-
5' 10 here.......l go through phases of loving to wear my 6 inch heels, towering above everyone and catching everyone's eye to hiding myself in flats and wishing I was smaller in every way......the only good thing is people never think I am as big as I am because I am so tall......if only they knew!!
-
I've joined! I grow loads of stuff at home.....love it. Currently resisting the temptation to open all the seed catalogues, as once I start there'll be no stopping me.
-
Hi B_F, Friend request on it's way! Good luck! Mabel

If I were you I would start at 1900 and aim to meet that target daily. Give it 4 weeks. Weight doesn't change nice and neatly week in week out, it happens in fits and starts....you have to be patient. If after 4 weeks you're not seeing progress you can adjust up or down. Measure yourself and take photos today. Remember as…

I don't think you're doing anything wrong as such except maybe expecting too much too soon. We're all different, it can take a few weeks for the body to adjust to weight loss. Keep plodding away at it. Weigh everything you eat, a food scale is best, if you take food to work weigh it out at home first. When teaspoons or…

A friend of mine found some good workouts on youtube........have a look on there.

I have my macros set to 45% carbs 25% protein and 30% fat. I'm happy if I exceed my fat % and track both Fat and Sat fat which I try to keep about 20g per day.
-
Each size for me is a minimum stone and a half, with a bit of overlap each end.
-
Porridge oats are really good for you, so why not make your own muesli? Just buy a bag of plain porridge oats and add nuts and fresh fruit of your choice, in quantities that fit in with your goals.
