I love Baked Beans (Branston are fab!) but I daren't eat them very often as they make me crave sugar. They're the only food that seem to do this to me.

I am following Dr Michael Mosley's The Fast Diet it's a 5:2 Fast, I absolutely love it. Here's a link to the website: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/

Yep, I weigh in each Tuesday and record it regardless. I also record my weight and measurements on the 1st of each month as I think this gives a more realistic idea of where I am at.

It may be that you are not eating enough.....If I were you I would up my calories for a few weeks, make sure I was eating at a 20% deficit of my TDEE but above my BMR. This link explains it all. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-12 I know it's hard when you've been eating…

I've got Dr Michael Mosley's, The Fast Diet book....and will be starting this in a week or so....once I've got a better idea of my typical TDEE. I think for someone like me who needs that feeling of hunger to feel that they are being good, it will be very helpful psychologically. Plus not being so hung up on what I eat the…

Leaves are good!

I have watched the BBC2 Horizon programme, Eat, fast and live longer, I also have Dr Michael Mosley's book, The Fast Diet. I think this type of 5:2 fasting is definitely worth considering for many reasons. (not going into all that now) However, it does not recommend 1200 calories per day, less exercise calories. It…

I'm 5' 10 and aim to eat between 1800-2000 depending on exercise.......feel free to add me if you want to....big eaters always welcome!

I really don't want people to read the OP's post and think it is a miracle way to lose weight/fat quickly......it isn't. It's simply low calorie with exercising. This will always result in fast "weight loss",(actually it's mostly water loss) for the first week, sometimes longer for some people. I myself have done this type…

I'm 5'10 and have just started again with a new higher calorie goal of minimum 1800 to 2000 per day. Previously I was on 1480 and felt awful, then I upped to 1700 and stalled, then over 3 weeks from mid December to 31st December I didn't log at all ate what I liked and lost 1.8lbs. So I'm starting over at 1800 to see how I…

I've gained a greater understanding of how my body actually functions and what it needs. Learning about TDEE and BMR has been frightening to get my head around as someone who has always crashed and burned, but it is a lesson I am so glad to have learned. I still struggle with it now and again, but I know now that if I feel…

I'm taking time out until the New Year......I need a break and I think it will do my body good to stop stressing about eveything, (not just food) and enjoy myself.....after all it is Christmas!! Sorry I don't have the answer for you or anything particularly constructive to say, just know you're not the only one…

That's really good to know....I knew about tying them with thread...but this sounds even better!! Now I've just got to convince my friend to let me do it to him.....this could be harder!!!
