  • I see a lot of people on Facebook posting the “day of gratitude” stuff. I try to remind myself every day how fortunate I am. This past year has been very good to my husband and I. We have had our bumps in the road but with the help of my in laws, we were able to buy a home and get my stepson out of a bad neighborhood and…
  • I've thought about the fruit infusers as well but I'm weird about the little fibers. I can't stand pulp in my orange juice at all so I'm not sure I could get used to little pieces of fruit. My husband thinks I'm weird but it's a texture thing.
  • I'm finding that I'm not snacking as much. I'm reaching for my water bottle and not the candy dish (which has been banished from my desk these days). I always feel better when I stay hydrated. We have water coolers in my office and one happens to be by my desk so it's a constant reminder to keep drinking.
  • It’s Wednesday and I’ve averaged about 60 ounces a day. I’ve also cleaned up my eating a little bit and I can tell that I’m not as bloated and lethargic feeling. I’m finding that when I think I’m hungry (usually because I’m bored) a drink of water helps erase that feeling. How is everyone else doing this week?
  • I don't drink a lot except milk and water. I can't really do caffeine because it triggers migraines since I've managed to detox from a really heavy caffeine habit. I don't keep a lot of sugary drinks in the house either. I'll have a glass of milk in the morning but the rest of the day it's water, though I do find some days…
  • I’ve been trying to be more mindful of this lately. I set my Fitbit to vibrate 10 minutes to the hour to remind me to move around a bit. Workin a desk job is definitely a challenge and I’ve raised the question of my office investing in standing desks like other agencies in my state have. They’re always looking for ways to…
  • Please feel free to add me. I've majorly fallen off the wagon and could use all of the support I can get. I got bored of the gym and just quit going and it all unraveled from there. I need to create some healthy, manageable habits that I can stick with.
  • Cinnamon Chip. No doubt and I always eat the bottom of the muffin before the top. The tops are my favorite!
  • Getting through the plateaus and not getting discouraged... I've been stuck for 5 weeks now so I've resorted to my measurements and found that I may not be losing weight, but my inches are shrinking. It's been pretty frustrating but I keep telling myself, it's just a number and I do feel better.
  • @veggrrrl I totally get excited over stuff like that. My mom got me an electric skillet and I was happier than a pig in crap. New kitchen stuff is awesome (and I'm no chef!)
  • Feel free to add me here in MFP and on Fitbit! I don't always have mine on, but I'm always looking for some motivation! https://www.fitbit.com/user/24BYCX
  • I love my curvy self. I've always been bigger than most girls, but I'm also built like an athlete (just a curvy one). We all have our insecurities. I hate the mirrors in the studio where I work out, BUT I tell myself that this is me right now and I know where I want to get to. I have hips, they don't just go away, but I…
  • @oceanvixen79 I totally get it. Mine eats constantly but he can cut back for a week or so and lose 10lbs. I don't get it and it's frustrating. I try to workout with him and it's just complaints and it doesn't motivate me. I prefer to have a buddy to keep pace with but I don't want a negative buddy. He does try to support…
  • You both can add me if you want. I'm restarting my journey again (3rd times the charm).
  • My husband hates going to the gym and I find it hard to find the want to go by myself. A new gym opened and I joined for the classes and to try and lose some weight. I've been there 3 times in the last week and found that I really enjoy it. I could use some extra motivation logging my food. Seeing my dietician has helped…
  • I'm hoping to start today, if the storms pass through before I get off work. Feel free to friend me! I'm training for a Hard Cider run at the end of August (yes I'll run for booze, haha)
  • I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Cracked the screen but I love it! I've had a chance to use the Galaxy S5 and those things are awesome. I'm an iPhone transplant and I will never go back to it. Samsung is great and I haven't had a single problem.
  • York, PA!
  • I'm the same way! I decided today that tomorrow I am wiping my stats and starting fresh. Life does get in the way sometimes but you're right. We need to be accountable for what we do and making it work. Weight just won't fall off magically if we don't do anything about it! I sent you a request! The more support we can get…
  • Originally from Perry County, PA! Moved to York, PA 2 years ago though.
  • Something similar happened to my coworker. She was at a red light and the guy next to her motioned to put her window down. She figured something was wrong with the car or he needed directions. Here he tells her that he noticed she didn't have a wedding ring and asked her out to dinner! That would creep me out!
  • Me too! My husband hates it and makes it a point to point out of time it happens that he sees it. I never really seem to get it unless someone flat out tells me.
  • Not odd at all. I have this shirt that's an odd material and my husband can't stand it. It doesn't make noise but he won't even come near me when I get home from work unless I change and if I get near him he complains about it. It's quite funny.
  • Thank you! I couldn't think of the word. Those things are HORRIBLE to deal with. I refuse to buy my step son one of them because I detest those things. And yea the dog thing is definitely annoying!
  • Those loud plastic horns people buy their kids at sporting events or those stupid little plastic trumpets... I always seem to get stuck next to the most obnoxious children with them and parents that don't care. It's very irritating!
  • Mountain pies or mountain pie pizzas are the BEST. If you don't know what they are google it. They're absolutely incredible. I've also made foil wrapped potatoes and personal meatloafs on the fire. The foil packets are great because you can do so much with them.
  • Seeing pictures from recently and in the past really made me see how much weight I've gained because I never really took notice. Once I noticed, then I realized that the health problems that run in my family are because they're overweight and didn't eat right or exercise. I never had weight issues because I was an athlete.…
  • I love my FitBit. While I may not get as many steps as I should, I'm more conscious of my movements. I wear mine daily and it does seem to be pretty accurate. I don't know about the FitBit Flex but I wear my One on my pants right at my hip, or clip it to my bra if I'm wearing a dress and it seems pretty accurate.
  • I'll add you and anyone else that wants to add me can too. I definitely could use some Fitbit friends! I have a FitBit One and love it! Here's the link to my profile: https://www.fitbit.com/user/24BYCX
