Thanks so much guys! Yeah this is my first HM, I'm excited but I can tell it's going to be a lot of work!
-
I second this! Fake it 'till you make it. Work it :)

Will do! Thanks :)

Lose the last 15lbs so I can weigh 120 by November 1st. Then my next goal will be to do a pull-up.
-
Just follow the meal plan. I did that and it worked, you can find it free online. The difference between using the supplements and not is only a few pounds.

Soccer players tend to have a small upper body and muscular legs. What you're mistaking for flab is probably muscle. Have her flex her leg and then see how much fat is on there. I'm betting there will be hardly anything. To balance out her body she should work on push ups and other upper body exercises. The only thing to…

If weight loss isn't on her agenda she needs to tone up. Do 20 lunges each leg and 2- 60 second wall sits each evening. Explosive exercises like sprints should help as well. Sprint to the end of the street, take a 30 second breather (no more) and sprint back. Repeat 1-2x. I'd do them with her if I were you. If that's not…

This truth I can't deny.

I don't plan on tracking once I loose the weight. I have a decent idea about calories now. I plan to weight myself regularly, and if I notice a few pounds gain (say, 3-4) then I will start tracking until I loose those 3 lbs!

Whenever I have a cheat day, I usually go way over and gain some weight back. A lot of people on here save up their calories for a specific day and then indulge :) For example, if your goal is 1500 and for 6 days you only eat 1400, then on the seventh day you get to eat 2100 calories. That is basically a 700 calorie treat.…

HAHA I'm into guys. But only cookie-forward men.

I'm just as self-concious now as I was at 5'5" and 120 lbs. Maybe you start to expect more out of yourself or something. Edit--- I weight 30 lbs more now

Meal Plan 3 sounds good :) That's one of the main reasons I'm moving off campus for the fall- the required meal plan. I gained 25 lbs in 2 semesters. The way I look at it is at least I caught it before it got too out of control.
-
Don't do the on campus meal plan!! It is evil I would know. I suggest finding a way to avoid the cafeteria at all costs and cook for yourself. It'll be cheaper (or same price if you buy the healthy stuff), you'll spend less time eating, and you'll know exactly what is in your food.

Once you start to lose weight, tell her how it happened! Once she sees that it works she might be willing to give it a try. Give her time:)

I tend to loose more than it predicts- but you should take into account your activity level that it is set at. It thinks i am sedentary

Oh! Canned Tuna Fish. It's some of the leanest meat around and for meat it is really cheap. Half of a can makes a good addition to a meal- it provides a ton of protein (which is often expensive) and hardly any calories. Potatoes are cheap.

Shop at Walmart. haha jk. 1. There's always sales on dairy the day before it will expire (it's 50% off). Look for that. 2. You could grow your own vegetables. 3. Coupons. Print them off before you go to the store. 4. Plan out your meals for the week BEFORE you shop, so you end up using everything that you buy and nothing…
