  • It's more important to meet or be under the calorie target. For some people, sodium plays a huge factor in weight loss, but it's not something to be overly worried about if you are healthy. She is right though; your body needs sodium, but too much of it and you'll bloat.
  • This sounds awesome, but that sodium content....
  • Don't be intimidated. The purpose of the class is to get you constantly moving and have a good time doing it. It doesn't matter what you look like when you do it, as long as you are getting a good workout and having fun doing it. That's why I go.
  • Thanks for all your help guys. But I have another question. What does fiber have to do with carbs?
  • WELL....My birthday is coming up on Saturday so all of that day is going to be filled with "YOLO" meals. So I have to be really good this week :)
  • Today I had some greek yogurt with fruit and granola along with a boiled egg.
  • I love planks (sometimes)!!! I'll do it :D
  • I like working out without really knowing I'm working out. I've found that on the weekends, I like to go hiking with my friends. We usually find moderate hikes with different terrain and that's at least 2 miles long so we're out there for a few hours. On top of that, I usually carry a backpack that has a load of 5-10…
  • Sales? No such thing in Hawaii! lol I'll still look though.
  • Okay. I'll do everything everyone told me. I'm going to buy a scale tomorrow.
  • I did that once. My butt hurt after
  • So basically you guys are telling me that I need to cook all the time, never eat out and invest in a scale?
  • If I never measured before using a scale, I don't see why I should start now. I mean, I understand what you guys are saying because I'm not seeing results but I'm not going to buy a bunch of stuff to try and lose weight. I know everyone on here who has lost weight does not own a scale.
  • They do, but if I do that, I know I will fail because my hips are 40 inches and my waist is at about 31-32 and my neck keeps shrinking...
  • WHATTTTTTTT :indifferent:
  • I did find that when I ate 1200, I was a lot more tired. I was thinking about getting one of these. I did spinning yesterday and it told me that I burned 452 calories in an hour. At first I was like SWEET! But then I realized it didn't ask for my weight or anything. I did see a lot of people with watches and arm/waist…
  • Are you serious? Just because I didn't log it you're suggesting I haven't eaten more? You couldn't be anymore wrong. I DID eat more. And it felt great. Did I lose weight? No. I pretty much stayed the same. I understand you are trying to help but I know what I ate and how much even if it's not in the log.
  • I've been losing weight since 2009. Lost 32 pounds since then. And during that time, I ate around 1200 maybe a little more and worked out and I've seen huge changes. And I didn't log on here every single day during that time. Now, all of a sudden since I joined the military, I am struggling to lose weight. I've tried to…
  • The place thaf I've been eating at for the past few weeks is a smaller version of whole foods that is completely vegetarian. I have no idea what the calories are for their foods but everything they use is organic. So if I were to look up something similar in the database, I'm sure I wouldn't find it. And I also ate turkey…
  • I log as much as I can when I can when I know what I'm eating. How am I suppose to go about logging when someone else cooks for me or I eat at a healthy place that doesn't have a nutrition table? Sometimes I don't have time to cook my own foods and therefore it shows up like that in my diary. I try to log like I should. I…
  • My body fat has stayed the same but I weigh more. You know what I hate? The way the military goes about measuring body fat. They tape your neck, waist and hips if you are a female. When they tape me, my BF is at 32+%. I bought a caliper from GNC and measured that way several times and by BF is at 23%.
  • PFA= Physical Fitness Assessment.
  • That's probably the hardest to cut back on. I swear almost everything has sodium in it :frown:
  • I've read this I don't know how many times and went to several different websites to calculate everything. I took the average of those and that's what I've been following.
  • I honestly think thats what my body is doing. It think's I don't need to lose anymore weight (pretty much all of it is concentrated on my midsection) and no matter what I do at the gym by body's like "Oh this is easy...Fun workout time!" And I try to challenge myself every time I go and do something extra...
  • If I logged on days with low calories, usually it's because I ate something that I have no idea how to log (example: my friend made dinner, and she doesn't know what she put in it and doesn't look at calories) or I went somewhere that doesn't have a nutrition chart OR I just wasn't hungry. And if I'm not hungry, I'm not…
  • I ate around 1920 on days I worked out. And no, I'm not new to weight training; I started back up after a while of not doing it though. And I've been eating like this for maybe 5 weeks now? Somewhere around there.
  • Some of you are so cruel. They asked a simple question and if they don't want to be healthy about it that's their choice. Don't get mad at them for it. You don't know their reasoning. Maybe they've been trying to lose weight and they are a couple of pounds off for a weigh in they have to pass (that's my reasoning). Anyway,…
  • i want to do this but i don't want to buy it. i know it's on youtube but i dont understand the different levels and where to find ALL the videos.
  • I tried this a week ago but instead I used pita bread and my toppings were turkey, mozzarella & provolone shredded cheese, spinach, red bell pepper and light ricotta cheese. I AM NEVER ORDERING PIZZA AGAIN. Even my friends loved it. It tastes way better than delivery and digorno (lol) and I don't have to feel guilty when I…
