  • Hello, Kelsey! Ahh yes, the dreaded college weight. Typically, dining halls offer a wide variety of food, with healthier alternatives! But preparing your own meals would be the most ideal way of knowing what's going into your body. Unfortunately, I'm not a chef by any means so my meals can be pretty boring. But I am full…
  • The road to fitness is always better with friends! Let's do this :)

  • I am no nutritonist nor a personal trainer, but if shakes are working for you, then by all means stick with it. :)
  • It can be frustrating when you're not seeing the results that you want. If you've determined that your BMR is 1,600 calories, then YES! You should be eating that much. Your body has probably gone into starvation mode and just storing everything you're eating, rather than burning any fat.
  • Hello Roxanne! You use MFP to track your foods (in your case, the shakes) and your workouts. Once you've added your biometrics, and chosen a target goal of weight to lose per week, the app should automatically give an estimate of how many calories you should be eating per day.
  • You're going to love MFP! Tracking foods and workouts has never been so easy. Being able to see everything laid out in front of you, tracking progress and most importantly—SEEING RESULTS! Is SO gratifying!
  • The journey ahead is going to be a tough one, I've been down the road and back Hah! You've got great enthusiasm and with MFP you'll have all the right support! :)
  • And you should be! :)
  • Well hello, Alex That's so good to hear that you've started to re-focus on yourself! A person's own happiness and well-being is so important. The transition will definitely be hard, it might get easier but trust me, you'll still have your weak moments. Just NEVER. EVER. GIVE. UP! You got this :) Best wishes on your fitness…
  • Hello, Huanne! Congrats on your success!! That's so awesome how much weight you've dropped. It's great to hear that you've been able to eat clean. Good luck with T25, and best wishes on your continued fitness journey! :)
  • Great to have you back! I know it'll be a much more productive journey for you than last time. You want to know how I know? Because you've definitively defined your 'needs' from your 'wants'. That usually comes to people when they've hit their bottom, and when you hit your bottom, the only place to go is up! :D Best wishes…
  • That's awesome to hear. Any specific goals you're trying to reach??
  • Woohoo! Best wishes on your continued journey :)
  • You're absolutely right! Motivation and dash of dedication :D
  • Hello Emily! Best of luck on your modeling career!

  • Virginia. The best tip for weight loss? Be persistent, it's going to be tough. You'll have good days, and bad days. Don't be afraid of fluctuations.
  • You'll definitely find all the support and motivation on MFP. There are sooo many people with similar goals. The app will also definitely help keep you accountable! Best wishes!
  • Hello, Shopalot! If by download to MFP you mean 'sync' data with one another, then yes! A Fitbit will definitely do that.
  • AHHH, I'm sure there are many people out there who wish they had your "problem" ;) I agree with deksgrl that you should track your foods, and if it's really concerning to you then perhaps a trip to the doctor would provide some answers! Best wishes on gaining weight? Haha it's weird to tell someone that :)
  • Hi, Shari! That's awesome you're taking control. Nothing is going to feel better than when those pounds start to come off! :D Best wishes on your fitness journey!!

  • Hey there! This website should help: http://iifym.com/what-is-iifym/ and this one: http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ Enjoy!
  • I'm assuming you're using the mobile app? Go to the main page, then select 'Friends', then select the '+' symbol, and add by email/MFP username

  • Well hello, naturalandclean! By using MFP to log your foods and workouts you'll find that that in itself will help you become more accountable. If you're using the Apple mobile app version, notifications will remind you to log your meals--for me that's very helpful, as I'm usually pretty busy throughout the day. If you…
  • Well, Adele I wish you the best on your fitness journey!!
  • Hi there! It's awesome to see that you have the determination, and that you've identified some problem areas. Now it's time to set a goal! In terms of working out, 5-6 days at the gym is PLENTY. It's all about maximizing your workouts while you are there. Look to do some high intensity training that gets your heart rate…
  • I think it's pretty great. I'll be honest, I had been on a hiatus, but coming back to it now I've seen they've added lot of updates. During my heyday, I used MFP with a Fitbit and lost nearly 25 pounds! It's just an awesome resource for people to stay accountable on their fitness journeys!
  • Congratulations on graduating! Best wishes on your fitness journey!!
  • If you're using the mobile app, you'll need to back to the home screen, select 'More', then Friends and add them by their MFP username. In terms of losing the weight again, it'll take some time to get your body back to where it was but it'll get there. Be persistent!
  • To gain more muscle you'll need to increase your protein, lower your carbs (possibly consider eliminating them completely). Doing more reps at moderate weight can help maintain muscle tone, while fewer reps with heavier weight will build muscle quickly. But I'm no personal trainer, do some research and see what works best…
