Hi Hannah! First off, Welcome back :) Secondly, while I may not completely understand the experiences you've been through, I feel I can relate because there was a time I would keep myself from eating just because I was so paranoid I was going to gain weight. I am proud to say that part of me is behind me and that I have a…

Hello, Stephanie! First off, welcome back :) Secondly, I have more recently become a staunch supporter of a healthy mind AS WELL AS a healthy body. In fact, I believe the best way to a healthier lifestyle is by starting with a healthier emotional well-being. You say that this isn't your first go around with MFP, so you're…

Hello, sunnymelanie! ☺️ The beginning of anything new can be overwhelming and its okay if you're apprehensive. But you came here for a reason whether it was to shed some pounds, tone up or just getting yourself to a healthier place--you've already taken a step in the right direction. Myfitnespal is just a great resource…

I read through this thread from the beginning, and I can feel the sexual tension growing...

I have connectivity issues, too. SOMETIMES, turning on and off the bluetooth on my phone will work. Most of the time though, I just turn my phone on and off.

HAH! Reminds me of a joke.. how do you pick out the CrossFitter from a crowd??? Don't worry, they'll tell you. ;)
-
@omegaoutlaw I did the Virginia Super, this past August, as my first one and while it's been rumored to be one of the more difficult spartans, I loved it. Unfortunately, due to financial and time constraints, I'm not sure if I'll be able to conquer another one this year (4 weddings to attend, including my own+I started a…

Congrats, I applaud your dedication. Keep it up

Best of luck on your Spartan training! If I may ask, which race are you doing??? If this is your first, my best advice is: You can never do enough cardio. Aroo!!! :D

This is absolutely on point. Setting smaller goals in ADDITION to larger ones, can help keep one motivated with their fitness journey. My own piece of advice is to stick with it. The days that you feel like sitting on the couch are the ones where your dedication and motivation will truly be tested! So, NEVER GIVE UP and…

Reducing the stress in your life is definitely conducive to a healthier lifestyle. While I don't have a kid of my own, I am definitely aware that being a parent is a full time job in itself. Getting back to a healthier place is an achievable goal; and it sounds cliché but you have all the tools necessary to reach that…

I don't blame you, America is confusing :)

The present is a better time as any to get back into it! :D

The road to fitness really is a 'never ending battle', but yes, you'll find success! Just maintain a positive attitude and strong dedication. :D

So glad to hear that you've found MFP to be handy. It really is a great way to keep yourself accountable for what you're eating. Hopefully you maintain your positive attitude and motivation, and reach your fitness goals!! I've been working out with kettlebells for more than a year now and they prefer to use kgs, so I'm…

Feel free to add me! I have a ridiculous sense of optimism and I log daily :)

The road to fitness is an endless one. You're going to encounter setbacks, like your knee injury, along the way. So, you deal with it and like you've done--you get back on track. We can't expect the unexpected and we certainly can't let the fear of the unexpected keep us from working hard. You can do this :)

Dang, good on ya for sticking with kickboxing that's awesome. Well, kayley, with MFP you'll find it easier to keep yourself accountable for what you're eating. It won't solve the fading motivation, but with the friends you'll make on here we'll make sure you stay on track! :) Let's do this!!

Hi Sarahsarahsarah! I love helping to motivate people, and have a ridiculous sense of optimism! Let's be friends :)

It's awesome to hear that you've found MFP to be helpful. Keep up the great work :)

Dedication is equally as important as motivation and support. You can have 100 people cheering you on to keep going, but at the end of the day it's going to be you burning those calories, lifting that weight-- putting the work in. You have all the tools at your disposal to get to a healthier place, now it's about sticking…

My training right now is exclusively with kettlebells! :)

That last part is one of the most important things to change, well rather, that mindset. Remember, everyone is built differently and each individual achieves results at a different rate. Coming from someone who's achieved weight loss through less-than-healthy-methods, and then subsequently regained the weight, I know the…

Motivation and dedication are key! The road to fitness, as you may already know, is a long and tough one. Don't get discouraged, never give up and remember that each day is an opportunity for you to become a better version of yourself than the day before. Losing those first 80 lbs must've made you feel so good! Try to hone…

By blocking out the outside the world when you're there. Easier said than done, but go in and do your thing. Nobody can judge you for trying. Michael Phelps didn't win all his gold medals without practice...just remember, athletes started out as beginners, too! :)

I'll be honest, I got a chill when I read your story because it sounded so similar to my own experience. When I finally decided to lose weight, I was working out twice a day for an hr each time. Strictly cardio. I was eating only three meals a day, with absolutely no snacking. I lost the weight but it was definitely not…
