  • I had pretty horrible IBS. I mean, I still have IBS but it's not as symptomatic. I had alternating bowel movements and severe abdominal pain on a regular basis for a few years--it was so bad that I could barely function. Eating more fiber, drinking water, and regular exercise didn't impact me in any positive or significant…
  • Epilating is really bad for your face and the type of hair growth PCOSers have. Plucking and epilating causes the hormonally grown hair to grow back thicker and coarser. Unfortunately, I did not learn this until after I started epilating and the texture of my hair turned coarser, darker, and thicker. :( I'd encourage you…
  • Thanks for adding me! :) I like the idea of a group dedicated to healing PCOS Naturally!
  • Thank you! I really hope I can get pregnant naturally and I'm not opposed to taking fertility drugs (so no judgements on that) but I definitely want to get fit and healthy so that's my primary focus right now.

  • I mostly walk (2 miles) when I do exercise. Right now my primary focus is diet but within 6 or 7 lbs, I plan to incorporate more exercise (walking 2 miles 5 times/week). Eventually I'd like to train for a 5k and I definitely hope to start weight lifting to preserve lean body mass the closer I get to my ideal weight.

I overexercised and struggled with disordered eating (eating sub 1000 calories on a regular basis) which I think just worsened my hormones. I then began binge-eating, quit exercising…

  • It appears it's working for you in terms of weight lost. Many people find that eating a high fat, low carb diet is more satiating. I try to eat 80+ grams of fat from various sources, ~70-80 grams of proteins, and less than 50 net grams of carbs. Additionally, when you're eating a very low carb diet (which is what I cycle…
  • Hi! I'm 25 and am looking to lose ~100-110 lbs total. I wish you much luck!
  • I am not GF but my SO and I try to limit our refined carbohydrates and that includes breads and pasta. Snacks: I eat one ounce servings of cheddar cheese and almonds. Or one piece of fruit (an apple or a banana). Dinner: We eat seasoned pork, chicken, or fish (100 grams or 4 oz servings) and normally one cup of broccoli or…
  • Growing up, my sister and I this toy car garage: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ixsqswNXKiI/UUCVBLXtsuI/AAAAAAAAApc/IXxOlLYtF28/s320/Fisher+price+garage.jpg We were both female and were raised by only a Dad so we had all sort of "girl" and "boy" toys. So that's always an idea. You can also buy toy castles, I think Melissa and…
