  • Get thyself to the doctor and see what is going on. It might be nothing at all or it could be more serious. Have your doctor give you some guidance.
  • Congratulations you look great!
  • You look beautiful!
  • Look I now have very nice quads. I am not imagining it. I do not need to verify that they are indeed there. I've actually worked quite hard for them. You can verify whatever you wish with whom or whatever you wish. I will continue to have great results doing what I am doing. I am not going to justify my successes with men…
  • I am the exact same stats as you. It's taken me about 6/8 weeks or so to lose about 4 lbs. It's kind of hard to lose the last few I think. I've been putting on some muscle at the same time so that has probably slowed the scale a bit.
  • I just got into an arguement with someone today about this very thing. I have gained muscle and I have lost weight. Everybody is different. My legs are bigger. My arms and back are much more defined. My stomach is flattened out. My hips and stomach are smaller but my legs are bigger. My pants fit really badly right now.…
  • I'm 44. Welcome!
  • No you are wrong and I don't appreciate you telling me I don't know my own body. I have muscle in my legs and other places too. My legs are bigger than when I started. I do weigh less than when I started. My legs are not swollen. They look quite nice actually and my cellulite is gone. In addition to that, almost everything…
  • I would say supplements like that are way too dangereous. Eat less, eat healthier, move more. It's a lot of work and determination but if you lose it this way, it's more likely to stay off.
  • "Did you take measurements? It's absolutely impossible for your measurements to go up while you are in a calorie deficit. So most likely you aren't in a calorie deficit." Wrong. I am smaller everywhere else but my legs. My legs have grown considerabley and I AM at a calorie deficit. It is not water. It is muscle. I have…
  • I would say do what you can. Don't overdo it or you will have a set back from an injury. Just think how much healthier and fit you will be by doing something every other day instead of doing nothing at all. It's all about perspecitive.
  • I didn't have time to read through the enite thread but here's what worked for me. I can not go to the gym. I am a working wife and mom with a volunteer job on top of it. The gym is a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours for me with the drive. What does work for me is I get my butt out of bed at 4:30 a.m. and…
  • July 15th leave for Hawaii for my daughter's wedding. There will be lots of swimsuits, sun dresses, and shorts so I want to be down a few more pounds and be more toned. Not too bad so far.
  • If I don't wake up first thing in the morning and workout, I WILL NOT DO IT!!!! It starts my day of really well. Getting out of bed at 4:30 a.m. is a total *****, but it's worth it.
  • My dogs have to have a fiber supplement for their digestive problems. We've tried both brands. The Benefiber is much, much better. It desolves quickly. Metamucil gets really gross and thick.
  • If I were really struggling to wait until my dinner, I would incorporate a snack for when I get home. Maybe a piece of cheese, a yogart, a piece of fruit, etc. Make the allowance for it. This should tide you over until dinner.
  • That seems like a lot of calories to me. I more often than not have a smoothie for dinner and sometimes a little something else. My smoothies are only about 300. I make mine with one cup of 2% milk, one banana, a few berries of some kind, a few ice cubes, and a packet of splenda. They fill me up and taste good with…
  • I would say to make good choices when possible but enjoy your vacation! You may gain a little but you can go right back on track when you get home. I don't want to be super skinny and never enjoy a meal or a vacation again. There has to be a way to have both. After all if you can't indulge a bit on vacation, when can you?…
  • Awesome!

  • I was 20 when I had my first and just turned 22 when I had my second. We were young but it didn't matter. We did what we had to do. A few years later when I was 29 my son was born. He was adopted. It all worked out wonderfully. It will be a struggle, but its so worth it. Best of luck to you. Believe me, if your family…
  • My son has autism and other issues. He was having the most difficult time getting to sleep at night. We finally found out from others that sleeping difficulties were actually pretty common for kids like ours. Many parents recommended melatonin at night. It worked like a charm from the first night. My son doesn't have any…
  • I think of them this way: Cardio: Good for my heart Weights/Strength Training: Good for my bones, balance, posture, injury resistance, etc. Nutrition: Good for everything I think you need all three to be really healthy.
  • When someone says something rude or out of line its helpful to respond in return, "Why would you say that to me?" It usually makes people very uncomfortable when you do. It should only take a time or two. If all else fails tell people you want to be healthy so you can enjoy your grandchildren and retirement some day. That…

  • We use a version of the magic bullet several times a day in our house. We love it. Someone is always making a smoothie. The trick is to not use too much ice or frozen stuff. If you do, it becomes very thick. It has absoluetly been essential in us getting more fruit and milk into our diets without over doing it. The…
  • You look amazing! Keep it up. It's nice to have the new self confidence to go along with your new body and life style isn't it?
  • Regardless of how things go with the school complaint procedure, get your son tested. You can do that on your own. If you need a referal from the doctor for your insurance, get it. You are the parent. Your school staff are not doctors. You don't need the staff of the school to give you a refera for a diagnosisl. You can…
  • This woman doesn't have any idea what she is talking about!!! Get the diagnosis so you can see what areas he specifically needs help. Not every autistic child has the same needs. The diagnosis can also qualify him for other services now and down the road. File a formal complaint immediately with the school principal and I…
  • I completely understand the all or nothing mode. I keep making myself have indulgences even if I don't really want them badly. I keep telling myself that I don't want to lose weight in a way that I can't live with forever. I intend to go out to eat periodically for the rest of my life so I'm going to figure out how to…
  • I would pick out a few machines and start there. Put the weights/settings/whatever on a very low setting and see what you can do. If its too easy, make it a little bit harder. Do what you can and move to a different machine. You don't have to do everything at once. Take it slow and easy. As your body and your confidence…
