  • The very best of luck to you. Hang in there with the smoking. It was the hardest, most rewarding thing I've ever done. You won't regret it!
  • Hubby!!! I'm a lucky girl. Now he tells me how muscle I'm building.
  • I'm 44 with two grown daughters and a 14 year-old son. I also have a 3 year-old granddaughter. Feel free to add me. :) Bobbie
  • I would say if those foods are a real treat for you, factor them in. Get the single serving pouches of cheezits and really enjoy your serving. Count out a reasonable amount of tootsie rolls and enjoy them. You don't have to eat them everyday but I wouldn't worry about it. I can't deprive myself of things I love or I will…
  • Yesterday was good. I did my treadmill workout. I alternate cardio one day ~ strength trainging on my total gym and a few minutes on my treadmill the next. My co-workers decided last minute to go to out to eat. I did really well. I had a bowl of our favorite soup and a dinner roll. Normally I would have had an entre on top…
  • I had a doctor tell me once to cut out the soda as it was leaching the calcium out of my bones. Diet Coke was like crack to me. I had to have it, that and Mt. Dew. Now when I really want a soda, I have a Sprite. I have to be rally careful though or I will start to drink it like crazy too. I am much better not drinking it…
  • Went out to lunch today with coworkers to have our favorite soup. I usually have a cup of soup, a roll, and a entre. I always end up in a food coma afterward. Today, I ordered a bowl of soup and had that with one roll. That's it! I was satisfied but not stuffed.
  • I like low cal/sugar free hot chocolate. I think it's only 25 calories for a cup. It's really satisfying for me.
  • You do look better now than you did then. Congratulations!
  • I'm in! CW: 120 GW: 110 My absolute goal is to be 110/112 and be fit and strong! Five pounds in May is perfect. I want to lose the 10 lbs by mid July for my daughter's wedding. We'll see! Bobbie
  • Congratulations!! Sometimes the first step is the hardest. Now you know you can do something you love without the anxiety. Goof for you! Bobbie
  • Yesterday was a good day. I did my strengh training workout with a few minutes on the treadmill. My eating yesterday was clean. I planned out meals and snacks all day. I had a smoothie for dinner. It was fairly low calorie and was very satisfying. I drank a lot of water to counter the sodium from the weekend. The scale was…
  • No I wouldn't be dishonest either. I would choose not to answer. I have too many of my own issues to work on. There is no way in hell I'm going to be pointing out flaws, real or imagined, in other people. We're all here to improve ourselves. Negative comments aren't particularly helpful or motivating. On the otherhand,…
  • I think you look amazing and should be proud of yourself. I also think that little saying we all learned in kindergarden should be a rule to live by, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." Congratulations on your weightloss/fitness journey.
  • Since 10 lbs is what I need to lose, I'm in! It will take a while as I really want to up my muscle mass as well. I guess the best way to describe my current body, is dumpy. I want to be trim and have muscle when I'm done.
  • I love to add sweetner to my coffee and tea. (All my drinks are mostly calorie free.) In fact I love sweets! I do find when I drink sweet things, I want more of them. For me it's kind of like eating bread or carbs. When I start, I want more. It's easier if I just say no to begin with. If I drink water, I don't really have…
  • I'm so happy for you! You look amazing! You actually look like you are supposed to be the size you are now. It's so nice that you figured this out while you are young and have your entire life ahead of you to reap the benefits of your hard work. Well done!!
  • This happens to me everytime I start a new diet and workout program. It last for 2 to 3 weeks then I start seeing the scale drop. I think it has something to do with your muscles holding on to water to repair themselves when you start. Hang in there. It will happen! Bobbie
  • I was out of town for a couple of days and didn't check in. In the two days I only managed one 30 minute walk. I did that outside the motel. My eating was more than I usually do at home, but not too bad considering we were out of town. Before, being out of town was like a free pass to stuff myself eating out at all the…
  • I'm 5'2" and my goal is 110/112 but with muscle! I'm very small boned so this goal is doable. Being buff and muscular are a must. I don't want to be small and soft when I get to my goal weight. In fact, if I only get down to 115 but toned and muscular, that will be fine by me!
  • I have a 14 year old son with high functioning autism. He also has a processing disorder. Please invite me to the group. :)
  • I agree about the gall bladder possibility. That is exactly what happened to a friend of mine.
  • Yesterday was not good for me. We had a lunch brought in to our office for Administrative Assistant's Week. I would have been fine, but a second piece of cake and a bag of chips that I wasn't hungry for called my name. I only had a few bites of sweets for dinner but I felt horrible after eating well for a week or so now.…
  • I have been to many, many weddings where the mother of the bride wears a polyester suit/dress type of thing. That doesn't suit my personality very well. I want to lose another 8 lbs and be tight and toned.
  • Crappy pic of the dress. Mine is in ivory and we will all be wearing red flowers as accents. Dress Bobbie by diddyh, on Flickr
  • Okay here is a crappy pic of the dress. Mine will be ivory. It's a beach wedding and we will all be wearing red flowers as accents. Dress Bobbie by diddyh, on Flickr
  • It's hard to say. We are going out of town Saturday morning and returning Sunday evening. I will probably do some strength training on my Total Gym and spend a few minutes on my treadmill before we leave. I'm not sure if our hotel has a fitness center or not. If not, I may walk out side the motel for some exercise. Or I…
  • Congratulations!
