  • Maybe try a different type of cardio besides running. The eliptical is very low impact on you joints ( i know this because i have a severe sprain in my ankle and can still do the eliptical) and you also can burn a lot of calories. Also, swimming is great cardio and pretty low impact on your joints as well!
  • This is my absolute favorite website. Great meals, they don't make a whole lot so you can finish it yourself through the week.
  • According to MFP, I should only be eating 1200 calories a day and anything less than that will put my body into starvation mode. If I start with a weight lifting plan, should I still to the 1200 or eat more?
  • Thank you for the advice! I am a member at a gym and I used to go with my husband who lifts quite a bit. He now has a gym where he works and goes everyday with a guy that he works with. So now I am all by myself! I need to get a plan together so I know what I am going to do when I get there. I am just so tired of not doing…
  • My eating habits arnt bad and I count my calories but I feel like the only way to lose weight as far as working out, is cardio! I mostly want to tone up and I know I will lose some weight by weight lifting but I feel awkward in the gym mostly because I don't know what I am doing.
  • I did the first month of insanity and then suffered an ankle injury in soccer so I didn't get to complete it but I think it is an amazing workout. Very intense. I heard the results dont normally come until the 2nd month but i would highly recommend it to anyone.
  • I lived in Dayton, Ohio my entire life and at the age of 21 left because I joined the AF. I became stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. First day there, my Ohio State Buckeyes were playing. I didn't know anybody yet so I went to the dorm day room to watch the game. I was wearing my jersey. All of these guys…
  • Skinnytaste.com has some great chicken ideas. Also, you could make some grilled chicken sandwhiches on a grilled bun :) grill your veggies as well. We grill our asparagus, corn on the cob, or chopped up potatoes in some foil with salt, pepper and butter!
  • I have the recipe and ingredients at my house right now :) making it tomorrow!!
  • In my opinion, home schooling can't teach kids the other important things in life. I went to a private Catholic school from k - 8 and decided to go to a public school for high school. When I started there, I was shocked. I was so sheltered at the private school. Unfortunately in life, you have to have "street smarts", just…
  • I'm in the Air Force. I work in a flying squadron with the aircrew of the CV22 Osprey. Unfortunately, I sit at a desk. Blah. I try and stand up and walk around as much as I can but sometimes I just get glued to my computer! They do take me flying sometimes though, so I'm not really TOO mad :)
  • Skinnytaste.com has some great recipes. Check it out!
  • MMMmmmm.. Liam Hemsworth. Miley Cyrus is one lucky girl!!
  • Cabbage rolls that my grandma makes, and also zuppa toscana soup from olive garden. Simply amazing.
  • I did read that nobody should eat under 1200 so I definitely try to eat at least that. I just wasn't sure how it worked with burning calories also.
  • I also hate vegetables.. but I can eat them if they are chopped small, and mixed in with other things. If you try skinnytaste.com, she always incorporates veggies in her meals and you can barely even taste them!

  • Skinnytaste.com is great!
  • One of the best meal replacements shakes, or can even just be used as a shake for after a workout, is shakeology. It is somewhat expensive but gives GREAT results. Look it up at shakeology.com or beachbody.com
  • Make a turkey wrap with someone romain lettuce, cheese or a Tuna wrap or pita with light mayo. Some fruits on the side or a small side salad. I normally do sandwiches or wraps on my lunch with some fruit :) very filling and meets my calorie goals!
  • I used to drink it every morning for breakfast, I lost quite a bit of weight on it. I didn't do the actual diet though.
  • I like this word :) i think im stealing it. Genuine!
  • I just posted something about this yesterday.. i can only eat about 900. If i eat anymore I feel like i am over eating!
  • I am addicted to skinnytaste.com!
  • I was always thin and never once thought about my weight, even in high school. My sister was always a little overweight and I always heard how I was so lucky but it didn't hit me until I was older. I was so skinny because I played soccer from 2nd grade on. And I played A LOT. So I felt like I earned the fact that I was…
  • Im from Dayton, OH :) Currently stationed in Albuquerque though!
  • Requiem for a Dream is a GREAT book and an even better movie. The book is a little difficult to read due to the way it was written but definitely worth a try!

  • I'm in! I have a wedding to go to at the end of July and my husbands ex-girlfriend is on of the brides (my new sister in law) bridesmaids! I think I have some good motivation to lose the weight!
