800 cals burned during Insanity plyo is not unheard of :) Ppl burn over 1K depending on fitness level, weight/age, etc. and how well you can "dig deeper"! You can do a sanity check online, for example here: http://www.braydenwm.com/calburn.htm

As far as I know, the difference is in a few programming features. FT4 works well for me, and when I was looking at both FT7 and FT4, the extra features did not really justified the extra money for me... Good luck!

I don't do dairy much anymore, so yogurts are out, but there are still plenty of options. I pack several servings of fruit with me, lightly roasted unsalted almonds, protein bar, etc. Sometimes a piece of dark bitter chocolate is a nice "pick me up" too :)

I think it was mentioned a few times already, but log everything, don't cheat yourself... That and Good Luck! That's two things... :)

Why not invest in some weights? IMO It's worth it. Craigslist, etc. buy local to save on shipping...
-
Good luck bringing it! :)

I'm glad you like the program! Stick with it, things will change. You can find nutrition guide online. BTW setting a realistic goals is part of continued success IMO... Be realistic in your expectations, most people will need major refocusing to reverse the process our bodies have been following for years. Once you educate…

Hi, Sorry to hear that you are not happy with your results. It does take clean diet and consistent workouts to see significant results. In addition, P90X is not really a weight loss program, but you should lose fat and build muscles if you stay with it. If you feel that P90X is too much, etc., take a look at other BB…

Good for you! Good luck!

I use my laptop when I travel to play DVDs...

Since you are going in the first place, just have fun... As long as it's in moderation, IMO it does not really matter in the long run, unless you make exceptions too often. Is that a "real" Oktoberfest in Munich? :) Good luck!

I heard some folks were working out bare feet... Thankfully, don't have such problem, workout on the basement level. Is there a gym in your apartment complex by chance? Good luck!

Ok, good luck! Yeah, those programs can be expensive...but I don't have a gym membership, so I consider getting those programs every few months part of the benefit of not having to pay monthly dues. I have watched a few TurboFire videos and the moves looked rather complicated to me... :) ChaLean Extreme is what I've been…

I workout at home bright and early, while kids (and wife :) ) still sleeping...

Most people get bored with one program... P90X is not the only program BeachBody has...:) I hope you know that.

In my experience, there is typically this one thing that could be deep down somewhere that makes you tick, and that is what I search for myself when motivation is lacking... Find it, embrace it, use it wisely too... :) Good luck!

Good luck! Hit me with a friend request if you need support...

The most effective IMO is to use a HRM with a chest strap to measure your burn during the routines and potentially cross referencing with an online calculator (input data from HRM such as avg heart rate, length of the routine, etc.). I do not believe there are P90X activities in MFP DB at this point, but you can always add…

Dunno how I missed this thread... :) See signature for completed BB programs. My wife has done Power 90, P90X Lean with me, took a break and now doing ChaLean Extreme. Good luck to everyone!

Good luck with the program! It's tough, but results are real!

+100 On "whatever time works for ya"... :) but I prefer mornings. Get it done bright and early is my moto. I'm up at 5:20 AM 4 times per week to get my workouts in before things get crazy busy. Some people like late workouts, I'm spent at 10 PM... Good luck!

Next is a round of pure Insanity and yes, P90X2 (has been already pre-ordered)
-
Great job! Keep pushing play! On the last week of P90X/Insanity hybrid myself... :)
-
Good luck with the X! Add me as a friend if you need support.

P90X is not lacking anything... there is no magic program, but P90X has most elements needed for success IMO. It's not set in stone either, so you could throw more cardio/HIIT (Insanity, Turbo Fire, Cardio routines from P90X One on One, etc.) into it if so desire. Good luck!
-
I'm finishing a hybrid of P90X and Insanity (have not done a pure Insanity round yet), but a pure Insanity round is coming up in about 2 weeks! :)
-
You can burn a ton of fat with P90X... not sure why people insist that ONLY cardio workouts are good for weight loss. The point about P90X not specifically targeting weight loss is correct, but through building muscles you should lose fat. Don't be afraid of using heavier weights either! Check info on ChaLean extreme…

Get bands, as they will serve a dual purpose for you... You can use them instead of your 5-lb weights and for pull-up moves as well. :) Ultimately, you need a pull up bar, but you can "re-gear" once you get a taste of the X! Good luck!
