One of my favorite, cheap meals to make only costs a few dollars and makes a big pot that feeds me and my husband for a few days. Take 1.5 cup rice and 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil, lower, and let simmer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, open the lid and add a rinsed can of black beans, a cup of salsa, and about 1.5…

Not sure if you'd have access to ground bison or buffalo, but I've read that those are a healthier "red" meat than ground beef, if your bf wouldn't like such a drastic switch to ground "white" meat of turkey or chicken. Also, not sure how you cook yours, but I place mine on a raised rack pan OVER a deep pan (like a broiler…

So inspiring! And I love your ticker showing the progress. Such a great success story! Thanks for sharing and helping motivate us!

Amazing job!! I'm 5'4" also, so this really hits home for me! You look terrific, healthy, AND younger! Good luck on those last few pounds!

Mine have lost an inch and a half, but I'm still the same cup size. If you google to measure your bra size there are really simple steps to measure at home and find your proper size. A lot of women have the wrong bra size, or if you're losing weight you might be a new size and not realize it. I plan on re-measuring mine…

I can't have any chips or salty snacks like that. I also can't have desserts like cakes, brownies, cookies, etc. I have zero will power against the above and will eat them until there isn't any left. Usually I try to avoid that entire aisle at the grocery store, too. If I see it, I'll want it. Out of sight, out of mind…

If you just added it to your sig you might have to log out and start a new session? I'm not sure, but I'd try that and see if it helps.

Yes, you can definitely tell! Your whole face and neck has slimmed! Great job- keep up the good work!

I bought one in early June after doing MFP for about a month. For me it was a no brainer b/c my job is a 7 hour shift on my feet, constantly walking around. I wanted a reliable way to count those steps. I bought mine in the "other" section on Amazon, brand new, for $80. It's still holding up great and I haven't had any…

I just hit my 60 day mark and have lost 10.5 pounds. I don't think they recommend losing more than 2 lbs. per week, with healthy diet and exercise.

I hit a plateau for 3 solid weeks and the scale would not BUDGE, even a tenth of an inch. It was really, really frustrating. First, I think your diary looks amazing! I'm jealous! :) I was *this* close to doing the calorie zig zag thing for myself, but then my plateau broke, so I haven't thought much of it since. The main…

You're eating highly processed foods, and primarily empty carbohydrates. I'm not anti-carb in the least, but if you fill a day with white bread, mashed potatoes, and biscuits, then you aren't having a well-rounded diet. Make a list of healthy foods that don't come from a box and then go grocery shopping. Fill your day with…

^^^^ Agree 100% I had a pig out day over Memorial Day weekend and it had me at 2 pounds heavier than my weight at that time. It was an eye opener to see how you can slow, stall, or erase your hard work if you're not careful and make wise choices.
-
It's not saying you DO weigh 10 pounds less. It's telling you that if you keep up with your current diet/exercise rates that in *5 weeks* you'll weigh 10 pounds less than you *currently* do.
-
I think it's just a ballpark. Of course, over the next 5 weeks, all of your days aren't going to be "like" today- so you're going to see it fluctuate within a few pounds, depending on the end of that particular day's stats. Mine is usually within 3 pounds of estimates over the course of a few days. I haven't tracked it out…

5'4" and MFP has me at 1200 calories. Do NOT go under that, it's the lowest anybody, anywhere recommends. Your body needs that MINIMUM just to function (brain, digestive system, organs, etc) I usually end up eating about 1300-1500 by the time I eat back my exercise calories. If you eat too low calorie for too long you're…

Awesome, thanks!

Not really a fail, more of a small hiccup. Plus, you're already doing the hard work to undo your damage. I say good job for recognizing it and tomorrow is another day. You live, you learn. It'll get easier in time. I've been logging every day for 2 months and I still have days where meal planning, grocery shopping, and…

My old boss didn't have much luck on Match, he said it was basically just a bunch of women out to get a free dinner- never had many 2nd dates. I know some eHarmony couples, some JDate couples, and a few other religion/lifestyle specific site couples. Not sure of the names, sorry.

I work nights so it's helpful for me to plan out my day and put it all in before I head to work. It also keeps me on track to kind of plan ahead and pick healthy things, instead of just going "oh, I'll run through a drive thru, or I'll grab a slice of pizza from the place a few doors down." It's nice to know a general idea…

So far I've lost: 10 pounds= chemical additives an American consumes each year By the end of this journey, I hope to make it: 2 pounds = a rack of baby back ribs AND 20 pounds = an automobile tire Almost half way there!!!

I had to google to convert your measurements- but we're identical! sent a msg

I'll have to read through and see if any previous posters are a twin! But here's my info: Age: 27 Height: 5'4" SW 147 CW 137 GW 125 Hourglass shape.

I also gained my weight in a short amount of time. I gained about 15 pounds from December to May. I was also on meds for depression, which I think aided in the weight gain and messed up my metabolism. I've been off them for 2 months now, so I hope with getting fit and healthy, I'll also rebuild my metabolism and also make…

A bunch of my friends are doing the 30DS and they log theirs as 25 minutes of circuit training. Or, if you have a HRM you could make your own "Shred" saved exercise and manually input your calories to log.

I've been getting the quart of Hannaford Taste of Inspirations Non Fat Greek Yogurt in Vanilla. It's really thick and rich, you only need about 1/2 cup (which is 80 calories). They also have a plain, but it's a bit too tangy for my tastes. I pair it with fresh fruit, or sometimes I stir in about a teaspoon of a favorite…
