This sounds like a great challenge! I have never been a part of a challenge in my life, but I think I can do this. THANK YOU!

I was a vegetarian. I was very thin back then. I did not eat any meat, dairy, poultry, eggs, or seafood. I ate mostly only healthy things. I gave up soda, drank water instead. I can tell you, once you eliminate the sugary, fat laden, cheesy items from your diet, you really do not miss them. I ordered pizza without cheese.…

I'm not hungry at all right now, especially with eating the exercise calories. I'm just afraid I won't lose fast enough if I keep eating it all.

I don't quite understand it all either!

http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php I use that to calculate the total calories in a recipe, then divide it by the number of servings. List items like they would in a recipe... 1lb hamburger 1 onion 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce etc.... I didn't know there was a recipe tool on here. I am going to have to try it.

Thanks for your input! I have decided to just give this a go for 30 days. After 30 days I will incorporate the other two dvd's I have (BFBM and NMTZ). I do want to lose weight, but right now I will settle for inches and any weight that falls off will be a bonus. I tell you , since I hit 49 it has been so hard to lose…

I honestly do not understand why that add the exercise calories back in there? If we are working our you know what's off to burn the calories, why are they added back in? I don't get it. Anyone understand the logic? I always though you lowered your calories and exercised.

Welcome! Since you are already walking a mile a day, increase that to two. Your dog will love you for that. Add weight training to your program too. You can search the internet to find all kids of programs out there. You don't need to join a gym, there are tons of dvd's out there you can follow. Make sure you log all of…

Hello and welcome! I am so glad you have made the step to join. Having the app on your phone makes it even more convenient. I cant find a blackberry app as of yet, so I rely on the computer do to my logging. I can tell you, that this program does work if you follow it. That's the trick, follow it. I slacked off for a few…

Well Welcome!, You are doing great! Keep logging and keep moving. That is what I need to do. I, like you, have never had a weight problem until I turned 49 , lost my job after 17 years and am post menopausal. I can't blame age and menopause on my 20lb weight gain though, I take resonsibility for the food I put in my mouth…

Yes! You are moving aren't you? It's not like you are skipping the gym to sit on the couch. I am sure there is a calorie calculator out there that would tell you how many calories you have burned painting.

I love Aldi! You cannot beat their prices. Although I am not impressed with their produce freshness or selection. Maybe it is just the stores around me, but the fruit/veggies always seem to turn brown much faster. I buy my produce elsewhere. But everything else, outside of cleaning supplies and paper products, I buy at…

Good for you! Keep it up! I am curious, what is your workout routine? I always wonder what people are doing to lose their weight and stay in shape.

Here's a suggestion....have recess with the kids! Get outside and move! Take a 15-20 minute walk at recess. Play kick ball, run laps, anything to move. Kids need a break and they also need exercise too. Good for the whole family.

I've been feeling the same way! Keep with it! The scale hasn't budged for me even though I am watching every calorie and increasing my exercise, however, I have lost two inches in my waist and hips! YAY! If the clothese are fitting better and you notice you are losing inches, don't worry so much about the weight. It will…

All I can say is you just have to push past the tiredness and make yourself move, tired or not. I have done that, by just walking every day for 30 minutes. I made myself do it. I would walk on my lunch hour. I would be walking and yawning at the same time, but I was persistant! After a few weeks, I was not so tired and…

Hello, even if you are feeding 1/2 formula, you still need to add 200 to 500 calories. Remember your baby is getting the nutrients and calories from you. If you deplete your body of too many calories, you are also robbing your baby. Make sure you check with your doctor for the exact caloric needs for you to lose and your…

I was a vegetarian for 14 years. The spicy black bean burgers were my favorites. I did not like the grillers or gardenburger's black bean burger at all. I would eat Morning Star Farm's black bean burger as my "meat" at almost every dinner, sometimes dipping them in bbq sauce! I cooked meat for the kids, but would make a…
