  • I came back to MFP and have a stuck with logging food for a week! One small step. Moving on up!
  • Wow! Very cool!
  • Congrats! That's awesome!
  • Congratulations to everyone on their victories!! I sorta ''fell off the wagon'' for about a month. I was battling an ear infection, sickness, and a thrown out back. I just completely stopped working out or tracking and resorted to eating that comfort food that I love and grew up with. Lots of trips through the drive…
  • Aww I'm really sorry that happened to you, but great job not losing your cool about it! I probably would have cried in my car, so kudos to you! :) My NSV for today.... My fiance ran to the corner store and came back with a King Size Reese's Peanut Butter Cup package (4 cups). I bit into the first one as I flipped it over…
  • Congratulations to everyone on their NSV's! For me, it's finals week. I have been stressed to the gills and not necessarily making good food choices all the time. But! I am proud of myself for making it to 2 extra workouts this week. That will make 6 workouts this week (my week runs from Thursday to Wednesday).
  • Well, excellent job doing some label reading! Too many people go with the foods that they think are healthy, are labeled healthy, or have the fewest calories (diet foods) without ever reading a label. For me, what's in the food is usually more important than the number of calories! Good for you for putting back a…
  • I have bad knees too, mostly to due with my weight (but I am cleared to exercise). I do zumba 1-3 times a week. I just modify some of the moves. I can't do the jumps and some of the things twist my knee in a way that really hurts. So I just have to do what I can. I will march in place to the beat mostly and follow the arms…
  • Congratulations to everyone on their non-scale victories!! As for the Zumba question, if you aren't comfortable exercising in front of people (trust me I understand), the at home is nothing to be ashamed of. I know a lot of people that burn lots of calories doing it that way! Do what you are comfortable with. That said, I…
  • So, I weigh myself once a week and have you all noticed that you are gaining during your TOM? Or have you still been able to consistently lose in spite of it? I have had lots of people warn me against the one week weight gain...I haven't had it yet since I started eating healthy and exercising about 5 weeks ago...
  • For me, it definitely has been about finding things I like doing that don't feel like exercise. But there are still some days, I would rather watch t.v. or nap.. Haha.
  • Aww! That's amazing. What a motivational post. Thanks for sharing. :)
  • Woot! Congrats!
  • I held the unbearable awful horrible squat at Zumba twice now. It's a deep squat and we hold it for almost a minute. BURNS so good! I have to close my eyes and breathe through it, it's pretty intense for me.
  • That's amazing! I sometimes struggle with working out when I am tired (my sit up challenge has been skipped quite a few times, I'll admit it). Kudos to you for sticking to it!
  • I was thinking.... From March 10-17th trying to burn at least 3000 calories exercising. What we burn naturally doesn't count! I want people to actually get up and exercise (no counting housework unless you're rearranging the living room!). It's something I am gonna do as a personal challenge, would love to see who will…
  • ^^ What she said.
  • Congratulations to everyone! You all have such amazing stories and victories!! I am so excited for all of you. Keep em' coming. :D
  • Lol, well apparently you're all for it. :P
  • Nice @ Kickboxing! I really really want to try it! :D
  • I was actually able to jump a few times at Zumba today. I have really bad knees and jumping with the extra fat is awkward and embarassing. But I was able to do it today and it didn't hurt my knees! I was pretty excited about it.
  • Hi, I'm Tara and my super power...hmm...squeezing the entire Dr. Who series into one week? (which probably isn't really a super power, it's just lots of free time. Guess the super power was, I still got other stuff done. :P)
  • Great ideas guys! Thanks for sharing. :)
  • Michelle - welcome to the group! I hope that you are able to find some motivation here and that maybe spending more time looking at the non-scale victories will help you in between the scale ones. I have heard time and time again that the closer people get to their goal weight, the harder the pounds are to get off. So…
  • Nice job beating those cravings! I'm sure now that you've had a positive experience with it, it will get easier for you each time it happens again. Or at least that is the hope!! Congrats on the 2 inches, that's awesome. :) Keep up the good work.
  • Honestly, in the past I have always avoided exercise like the plague! I have tried losing weight before and always hit a plateau early on (around 25 pounds lost). I knew starting this last time that if I wanted results I had never gotten before then I would have to do things I had never done before. This is why I really…
  • Welcome to all the new groups members! I am so excited to see that people are connecting personally to my group concept. I wish you all lots of luck with your goals both on and off the scale. This is a place for men and women alike, so welcome to you joseph. I hope this becomes a supportive group that people can enjoy and…
