Magnesium makes you crave chocolate (which has magnesium) less during TOM? Sooooooooo...does that mean jujubes are full of magnesium? Because that's all I want when I'm PMSing. I'm starting a jujubes to reduce belly fat diet! lol

Just shy of 5'6 and I've been maintaining for two years now at 138-142, around 21% BF. I went down to 130/18% BF and it was too low for my frame. I looked very ill! (Plus hubby likes a little bit of extra junk... ;) )

Currently nursing a torn mcl, just after recovering from golfer's elbow, done just a few weeks after getting back to stuff after a lower back injury. All of this was done outside the gym, too. This past half year has NOT been nice to my routine, at all. I second what usmcmp said and just look at maintaining during your…

That's amazing! And you (and your awesome mom) made a good decision with the surgery. My loose skin was considered minimal, too, but the mental difference it made when it was gone was significant. You look healthy and should be crazy proud of yourself! What gets me, though, is that your stats say you grew two inches...my…

I took a peek at your diary and your macros look pretty spot on right now. Treat your fat and protein goals as minimums and make sure your getting enough fruits, veg, and all the nutritious stuff and you should be in good shape.
-
OP, eating too little fat and protein IS going to interfere with your hormones, thus deregulating your emotional system, along with all your other systems. We are a whole being, and everything functions together, so taking a nutritional imbalance out of the equation is doing yourself a disservice. Try getting some adequate…

Have you tried re-entering your new stats? (Like workout amounts, not just weight.) Depending on what you told it, MFP may already have you at what it considers to be a safe deficit. Mine didn't change, either, but I was increasing my workouts as I was losing weight, so I needed more food.
-
I'm lactose intolerant, too. I switched to almond/cashew milk, but then developed a vitamin D deficiency. Now I use a fortified soy milk and all my bloodwork tests have come back fine for the past year. Gotta find what works best for you, though!

You lose weight by eating less calories than you burn. It doesn't matter how you burn them. There are a few people on here who don't exercise at all and have lost weight by just eating less.
-
I'm assuming your deficit is more than 200 calories/day, yeah? Then eat the 200 calories. You'll still be in a deficit, but your mood will be way better. This is about learning how to do this for the long haul so beating yourself up because you're hungrier during your TOM is really counterproductive. Just be mindful of it.

A new GP and a referral to a registered dietician would be your best course of action, in my opinion. Anyone with internet access can get a certificate in nutrition and a dermatologist can't help you with nourishment problems. And your GP just sounds plain lazy.

Being within the normal weight range, have you looked at body recomposition instead of straight up weight loss? This is a good thread: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10177803/recomposition-maintaining-weight-while-losing-fat/p1 As to your macros, those are really a personal preference thing. A good…

Your protein and fat goals are pretty low. That would make me starved!!! Try to get those macros up to 0.6-0.7g/ lb of body weight for protein and around 60g/day for fat (especially important for nutrient uptake and hormonal function in women).

Fabulous job!!!

Hun, look what this guy did, in a safe, healthy and sustainable manner. Juicing as your only means of nutrition, and undereating as a result of juicing, is unsafe. MFP gives you that warning for a reason. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10335114/after-248-days-i-surpassed-my-goal-388-to-219-6

This is as mean spirited as we get...

Weighing your food and recording it or just recording it? You can't be accurate with out a food scale. As another poster said, sodium masks weight loss. I was under my calorie goal yesterday but up two pounds this morning because I had sausage for dinner and a cheesies before bed. Happens every single time I have too much…

Sonic Highways. I didn't know it was possible to fall more in awe of Dave Grohl, but I am.

My ex husband is slightly allergic to the flesh of the kiwi, but seems to react a lot more to the peel...interesting idea, that...blending it up... JK!!!

This is me too. I'm usually not hungry until 1 pm, but if I am, I'll eat. I've been like this since my mother stopped forcing me to eat breakfast, over 30 years ago. So I did while I gained a lot, then while I lost a lot, and now while maintaining. Meal timing really doesn't matter.
-
Without weighing, you've been guessing, and with a lot of weight to lose, guessing will get you a lot farther than it will with only 10 pounds to go. It looks like you've hit your maintenance amount with guesstimates. You need to recalculate your calorie after such a huge loss and then tighten up the calorie count with a…

Because that's how multi-level marketing works. They want you to be a repeat customer and eventually a coach. (And my sister's a full on, rah-rah, flying out of the country to go to motivational seminars coach, so I've heard the sales pitch.) That being said, the workouts are soli but you can get the Tupperware through…

Dontcha mean Ron Jeremy???

OP resurrected his own zombie thread...isn't that cheating???

TDEE (total daily energy expenditure is BMR plus intentional exercise, minus calories to lose weight) can be confusing to people new to MFP, since it uses the NEAT formula (or BMR minus cals to lose, plus your exercise). Clear as mud, huh? lol However, both equations should get you to the same number of calories to eat. So…

It's giving you a warning that you're undereating. If you don't want to see it, don't hit "complete entry". I've been maintaining for two years and never bother to hit that anymore. Your calories will still be tracked. More importantly, are you eating all of your exercise calories for the week over those two days? "Cheat…

I couldn't have said it better myself. 1% - 3% of the population are true socio- or psychopaths with no regard for other people. A whole heck of a lot more suffer from some form of mental or emotional disorder, a large majority of them undiagnosed. Another large part of those who are diagnosed are not receiving any form of…

Come on, he eats a lot of cereal, too...lol. ;)

OMG, I want to hug you! I didn't know I could do that. (I've never felt the overwhelming need to actually delete someone before, however.) I'm doing a big happy dance here. :D :D :D

Everything @rabbitjb said is fantastic, including the video. You really could be taking in more calories than you think. If you are tracking as accurately as possible, are you eating back your exercise calories, netting 2050? Calculations like Harris-Bene is just a best guess to get you started. Your total daily calorie…
