There was a birthday cake for a senior partner at 10 am, a social committee meeting to decide between chocolate truffles and chocolate bombs for our Christmas party at 11:15 ( the bombs win) and then the regular 11:30 cookies nad crackers snack tray. I'm not complaining though. Well maybe a little... Breakfast burritos…

That's exectly right. You need to find a plan that works for you and that you will stick to. I personally break my fast six or seven hours after I get out of bed, between 11 and noon. I always have, fat or fit.

Maybe just use measurements and pictures to track your progress instead of a scale. Or share your concerns with your GP. I know mine wouldn't mind if I popped in once a month to use her scale if I didn't own one. Here's a link to help you visualize what a portion looks like. Not as accurate as a food scale, but then again,…

I'm the same. My protein works out to around 20%, but it's still anywhere from 110-130 g daily. Percentages are a good place to start, but if you're really concerned about it, aim for a particular number of grams per day.

Good advice. Your wee one is taking a large percentage of your calories each day, leaving you in what I can only assume is a deficit, anyway, plus you're exercising and creating even more of a deficit. 1800 may even be a tad low. You're doing great. Give it time and enjoy yourself!

Sure you did. Buddy told you to google it. There are only a few that really work, and they're all over the web. As to breadfruit and paleo, it's cool for a paleo diet, but be sure it fits your calorie goal, if you're trying to lose weight.

Motivation and support isn't all about holding people's hand and saying "There, there...it's okay. You're absolutlely right." If my MFP friends did that, I'd still be fat. Yoovie is right. OP needs to take some responsibility in this siualtion and sometimes that means having frank and honest conversations with your friends…

Whether or not you have loose skin is largely determined by genetics. Losing weight slowly and adding resistance training to your regime may help minimize it, and creams can make it look softer but won't get rid of it. Look to your mom. If she had a lot of stretchmarks, there's not a lot you can do about it outside of…

Me too! I'm a big fan of good gravy.

Oh, I agree. If I was a guy I would have my face slapped numerous times weekly...

I had the same problem, and regular boots fit fine now. Keep them out where you can see them and use them for motivation!

Agreed. If you push her before she's ready to change for herself, you run the risk of losing your bond with her. Just love her for where's she's at and be there for her how and when she needs you to be.

I do 14/10. I could manage one meal a day, but now I don't think I'd be able to hit my macro goals doing that. I just need too many calories to eat them all at once.

Your actual weight is fine. If you're unhappy about your body composition, or what you see in the mirror, give the advice in here a try: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1 Best of luck!

I've discovered that foods I have an intolerance to (anything containing milk and soy) can make me crave more. If I'm careful and stay away from most pacakged stuff I have no problems with cravings or binge eating. (It does mean I have to bake my own breads and cookies, but that's not really a bad thing!)

I'm afraid you may have some disordered thinking re weight loss. Have you run this plan past your GP?

My grandfather, father and brother are all truckers. An hour's drive is nothing to a trucker. Jeez, to ANYONE living in Toronto, and hour's drive is nothing. I would definately be questioning his commitment level.

But BMI is completely useless when applied to otherwise healthy individuals. I would be more worried about the stress you're placing on yourself mentally by wanting to be perfect on paper. (Because that will never happen, for any of us.)

A real lifestyle change comes from educating yourself and finding what's right for you. It took some adjusting and tweaking, but here's what helped me reach that point: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/975025 http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242 Best of luck!

You can't maintain on less than your maintenance calories, no matter how full you happen to feel. That's math. And do you take rest days from your workout routine? If not, you really do need at least one day a week. It's really rest and recovery. If you're undereating and not resting? That will eventually knock you on your…

1720 sounds a like a really aggressive deficit to me with that lifestyle. I ride a desk all day and workout maybe five hours a week, with no young kids, and I lose on more than that. At the very least be sure to log and EAT any intentional exercise calories you add to that deficit. And the car/fuel analogy is spot on.…

My husband's... a great guy. He has my coffee ready and waiting for me for me every morning when I wake up. ;)

You need more magnesium in your diet. Eat more nuts. Or eat the chocolate if you have a good grip on the portion control thing.

BMI is a good tool when talking averages. But, you're an individual, not a group of people. If you're happy with your BF%, then why bother worrying about BMI?
-
That didn't work for me, at all. Now 120+ g of protein a day and 80-110 g of fat keeps me below 20% body fat, so... To each their own, yes? OP: Check out this calculator to help you set a more reasonable deficit. You haven't much to lose, so set it to 5%. Slow and steady. (Also, be sure to use the correct exercise…

As long as the week balances out, don't sweat it.
