  • Here's one thing about toothbrushes. You kiss, and perhaps kiss more than lips, and you freak out if he uses your toothbrush? This has never made sense to me. Just saying :)
  • It's not so strange in Spain, as it is a popular tapas small plate, but garlic stuffed olives and almonds. So salty and good!
  • Here's a place to start: Fish oil brands that passed 2012 quality standards via Consumer Reports: http://www.emaxhealth.com/8782/there-something-fishy-about-your-fish-oil-consumer-reports-says-yes
  • Such a great example of moderation! Not giving up your favorites completely while keeping within your overall goals. I like that.
  • I like the way you think! Intuituitive eating, as gorgeous as it sounds, for me does not work (but I wish it would). MFP has been such a great reality check on what I was eating, and why my weight was not decreasing. Simple ins and outs, pluses and minuses! Every day was a plus and every week was pound ons. Just numbers,…
  • Nice work girl! According to your ticker you have done quite well yourself! I am a big fan of moderation, and for me, moderation was a problem. Knowing what works for your self is a huge big deal, as cheesey as that sounds :) For some it may be boredom eating, others, not moving enough, others eating horrid foods. It takes…
  • Agree, he's a slim thing at that height! But that aside, don't worry about it :) I used to borrow my boyfriends leather belts and levi's, we had the same waistline even though he was much heavier and taller, THAT was bad. But no more! Now I not only do not borrow his clothes, but I endlessly annoy him with my eating and…
  • Ha thanks everyone, glad I am not the only one with an addiction. :) We should all be proud that we recognize our weaknesses, and acknowledge them. It takes a strong soul to do that. I hate this place sometimes, but I love it for the accountability factor. The numbers can stare us in the face, and it is up to us to decide…
  • Food stamp debate aside, companies are going to continue to push their products in every way they can within FDA guidelines. This Pom juice ad is amusing : http://adsoftheworld.com/media/print/pom_cheat_death Seriously I don't think it is a matter of intelligence with poor food choices, just apathy. (maybe with a little…
  • Here is the ingredient list if anyone is interested: purified water, whey protein concentrate, organic cane sugar, chicory root, guar gum, xantham gum, natural flavors, sea salt, monk fruit concentrate.
  • HAHAHAHAAA! That's very creative :)
  • We always marinate some beef or chicken, put in a tupperware, and a separate tupperware for chopped veggies (onions, peppers, whole mushrooms, and bring skewers for kabobs! The potato idea is also a great one, and you can use the leftovers for breakfast! Just be mindful of fire bans, several areas are prohibiting camp…
  • Yum, thanks for sharing! Love savory snacks. I am going to try them with truffle salt :)
  • I just discovered Dr Davis has a blog, here are success stories with photos if anyone is interested: http://www.wheatbellyblog.com/success-stories/
  • Sorry for your restaurant experience that is horrible. Have you read the book? The MD who wrote it discusses how wheat can adversely affect many people, even those without full fledged wheat allergies. It's a good read, although a bit technical. His theories are research based and he provides references in the book. It…
  • I just finished this book. I found all of his info on "visceral fat" interesting. HERE IS A PICTURE of visceral abdominal fat if anyone is interested: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/medical/IM03913 One interesting thing, for the past 2 days, I have not had any wheat. My eyelids are always a bit swollen, from what I…
  • Arrgh, why does every thread have to get derailed like this? Her original question was not asking if she should eat wheat products or not! With that rant out of the way, I love: Yams with a tsp of coconut oil Berries are coming into season! Love them w/cottage cheese or yogurt Ezekiel bread with fig jam and almond butter…
  • Creative types! Artists Musicians Chefs
  • Guilty! And I try not to judge, because, sadly, healthy food is expensive and I think people are creatures of habit for the most part, in otherwords are comfortable buying the same things, making the same 8 recipes in rotation. The only thing that bothers me a bit is when families with kids are buying tons of sugar and…
  • What a sweet little story! Go you go!
  • o/ Here as well! For the next 13 weeks anyway :)
  • Thats so great to know! Thanks for sharing that. Mine are always low on MFP, and I know my heart rate goes up quite a bit even with 20 lbs of dumbells. It's a great argument for getting a heart rate monitor. Next paycheck for me!
  • Very impressive!!
  • No but thanks for the heads up! I will search for them on my next visit!!
  • Just popping in to say here is the medical study regarding the extract: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3267522/
  • I hate beach body after joining here, only because so many BB coaches have sent me advertising emails/messages. Obviously many of them are paid on commission. From now on I am forwarding every email to admins. It's sad, because I do think they have some good workouts, especially CExtreme.
  • Good luck to you, I did A diet many years ago and actually lost weight. But....I felt horrid. So I switched to South Beach, which is more moderate carb, and I continued to lose weight while feeling better :) Now I just stay away from processed carbs, and watch the total percentage, it works for me :)
  • For results: The abs diet workout 2 (strength training section with dumbells). It kills me way more than Jillian RI30. For no dread factor, fun, inspirational: Anything by Ellen Barrett. She has an amazing energy, and many of the moves are pilates and dance based. Her ending stretches feel wonderful Crunch Super Slim down…
