Great read, thank you. But I always thought that creatine was only beneficial to heavy weight lifters. Is this true? Or can everyone benefit from it?

Well said. And saying "I am a great parent, my kids have no problems" is a bit ignorant imo, because the potential is always there. Parents can only do so much. And in most cases, teens are much more influenced by their peers than their parents.

I'm a nurse and have had a few lower back injuries from work...and one thing that has helped me so much is pilates. It strengthens your core abdominal and back muscles so that less pressure is placed on your ligaments and joints. It has completely eliminated back pain for me, and changed my posture a great deal. However, I…

I'm not blasting! But.....the media does play a role in how many people feel about themselves. Your daughter sounds healthy and confident and that's wonderful, good job for instilling confidence and raising her well. Have you seen the plethora of "thinspiration" blogs on Tumblr? Wow, the Olympics, that will be insane for you but exciting to work it! I am an ICU RN. My favorite thing to do is hit the salad bar at the grocery store and make a nice salad with meat for my main meal, with spinach, turkey or tuna, hard boiled eggs, chick peas, sesame seeds, beets. To snack on string cheese and whey…

Great advice here! 1) EAT. 2) Where is the fiber? If you are a bread eater, eat whole grain bread, Ezekiel is my favorite, high fiber. If you like peanut butter you must get PB2 powder (low cal/low fat powdered natural pb) to add to smoothies! It's like a Reeses PB cup in a drink if you add it to chocolate whey protein (blend with ice!)
