Sweatpants, sorry to hear you're experiencing pain. As a fellow runner, I know how much knee issues are a PITB. I had and occasionally have inner knee pain. I went and saw an orthopedic doctor and he diagnosed me with Plica syndrome. Just inflammation of a Thickening of tissue. I had very similar symptoms as you listed. It…

I'll have to find someone to inherit them from me as well... except I had them hemmed and I'm at least a couple of inches shorter than everyone else I know! My beloved Hudsons and Joe's... :(

Hmmm... I may have to think about taking them to the tailor to get them taken in but I think I will wait a while until I've settled with my weight. I'm hoping to lose some more inches so it'll save me from another trip. :) nyspotlight, these jeans can't shrink any more. Most of the jeans I buy have already been shrunken…

I just ordered a BM Fit Link from Costco.com today. I also have a FitBit but am thinking about retuning it if this one is more accurate. Between the two products, it seems like BMF is more accurate? Can anyone attest to this? I know what my true RMR is so how does BMF's TDEE factor in RMR? Thanks! Can't wait to get it!

Oh... And I just wanted to remind everyone that regardless of how much we eat or how much we weigh, we're all strong and beautiful people! :)

My boyfriend never really comments on my weight or what and how much I eat. He knows that weight is a sensitive topic to me so just doesn't bring it up. I haven't told him or anyone about this EM2WL thing.. I just do my own thing and that's that. He understands the increase in food intake though because I am active -…

I'm in the same boat as you! I'm a compulsive weigher so I stepped on the scale yesterday evevening after getting home from work. It read 118, the lowest I've been in a long time! This morning I weighed myself and its 118.8. I'm still in disbelief because I was also expecting gain. I've been on the program for about 4…

Woohoo!! Way to go guys! Isn't it great to be eating more than everyone else and be losin weight while they stare at you and think you're doing the opposite? I internally laugh and say "Suck it!!". Okay. Maybe im a horrible person. Mwahaha. I think what they don't realize is that even though we're making healthier choices…

I think most people who see the amount I eat are thinking in their heads, "she's gonna getting fat eating as much as she does!"

Thanks for the reassurance guys. It feels great to have such a wonderful support system. I've never been part of any forum group that has been so helpful and friendly as all of you have. Today was definitely a sedentary day and I'm starting to come down with some bug. :( Throat is sore and ears are ringing. Hope this…

I am training for a half marathon at the end of July and a marathon in November. I do intend to keep up with this training schedule in the long run but maybe cut back on the miles I run during the off season. I have only recently become active since the beginning of the year and ever since then, I haven't been able to keep…

I've only been on EMTWL for about 3 weeks. Since eating more, I have noticed a significant difference in my running, especially during my long runs. For example, I ran 14 miles on Sunday and still felt like I had fuel left in me. I actually felt like I could run a marathon! Before I started the program, I almost always…

Wow Kiki! Thank you. You are a wealth of info and amazing! Kiki, does the caloric intake sound about right to you? I realize that I may not be able to lose any weight as the nutritionist had mentioned but it would be nice to lose some pounds, especially if it will help with my running. Even though she said I wouldn't gain…

Hi Kiki, Thanks for the clarification. It helps that someone like yourself recommends the same. Right now, we are doing a lot of training using own body weight and 5-8 pound weights and reps lasting 1 minute long. When I worked out with her today, she handed me a 3 pound weight and told me to do an exercise. Naturally, I…

I have done research. Weight training is highly encouraged but not HEAVY weight training. Low weights and high reps is what is recommended by many runners and articles. The more bulk you add on, the more you have to carry when you run, which slows you down. The reason why i asked my trainer was because I just finished…

I never said that my fecal matter weighed several pounds... Having said that, I have weighed myself in the past before/after. There was a time that I had chronic constipation where I would go once a week and I can tell you that it did make a difference on the scale. It wasn't a huge difference.. I wasn't 10 pounds lighter…

Feel free to add me! I'm finishing week 2 and feeling great!

You know, interestingly enough... I went for my midweek "long" run this morning. Though it started off with me feeling a little bit sluggish, once I got warmed up I felt like I could keep going forever. Granted, I slowed down my pace a little bit because I didn't want to bonk my run like I have in the past. I ran 7.5 miles…

Hey Vendrazi, Thanks! Today, I burned 600 cals from running and MFP is telling me I need to eat 1900 calories. That's A LOT. It's scary thinking I need to eat that much and I'm really hesitant to do so.

Hi kdiamond. Thanks for responding. I actually just started upping my cals yesterday but I wanted to post here to make sure I was on the right track. On the days that I run, should that be 1800 NET cals or total calories?
