Gaining inches and muscle?
Hi all, I spoke to my trainer today and mentioned that I was putting on weight. She said that unless I'm binging on alcohol and crappy food all day long, it's most likely muscle. However, my clothes have been a bit more snug lately after gaining about 5 pounds. Is it possible that my measurements would increase from muscle…

I REALLY need help
Okay, so here's the deal. At my lowest weigh in about 2 months ago, I was 119 pounds. I've been on EM2WL for over 2 months now. Today, I weight myself and I'm 126.6 lbs and increase in BF 2%. Last week, before I left for a 5 day vacation, I was 121 lbs. Now, I was on vacation so I didn't track food and probably ate mOre…

Food sensitivities causing gain?
Hey guys, Was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of food allergies/sensitivities causing weight gain and bloat besides the typical glycogen storage and salt. Reason why I'm asking is because I think I might be sensitive to wheat. Over just a matter of a couple of days where I will consume wheat products, I notice I will…

What does it mean if your BMR is higher than calculators?
Hi all, Was just wondering what it means if your actual BMR/RMR through measurement is higher than calculators such as scooby's and fat2fit. Does it mean that you have a higher than average BMR and how would that apply to figuring out what your TDEE is?

Probably a really repetitive question
Hey guys, So this morning I burned 662 calories from running and I intend to do another 30 minutes of strength training later this afternoon, which burns about 80 calories. If I have my goal set to eat 2000 calories every day at a cut, that means I am netting 1258. So.. This means I need to eat extra to meet my BMR of…

Learned something this weekend...
I was really off track with my calories and exercise this weekend. Had a social gathering every day Friday - Sunday and was pretty much sedentary all three of those days. I had a lot of simple carbs, salt, and sweets resulting in 8 pounds of bloat.. Or so I hope it's just all bloat and not any fat! I normally do my long…

Do you guys eat the same thing every day?
I eat pretty much the same meals every day. I find it makes planning much easier and I enjoy what I eat. I think it takes me about three months of the same stuff before I get sick of it and switch it up. You can look at my diary. One thing that gets really annoying is people commenting on what I eat all the time. Don't…

First week report from BMF
I've had my BMF for a week now and just pulled up a 7 day report from BMF. Wow! The amount of information is insane and the numbers I'm seeing are nothing what I expected. According to the report, my TDEE for the week was 2865, average calories consumed = 2084 and in a deficit of 781 cals. Scooby's calculator says my TDEE…

Trying to be patient...
I'm on my 5th week of EM2WL. There hasn't been any change in scale weight or measurements. I've been eating at a cut of ~1900 cals. I'm trying to be patient and am hoping that one morning, when I wake up, I will be lighter and smaller all around. It is a bit frustrating and anxiety provoking.. LOL.

Not sure which calorie burn to trust!
Hey guys, So I went out for a run this morning (16 miles) and wore both my BMF and my HRM (Garmin). The calories burned are massively discrepant between each other. I'm not sure which to believe! The HRM says I burned 1165 and the BMF says I burned 1708. That's like a 600 calorie difference... Which do you think is more…

For all the runners...
How heavy do you guys lift? And also, for all the ladies, are any of you doing NROLFW?

Is it okay for my largest meal to be at dinner?
I eat about every two hours but all my meals/snacks before dinner tend to be pretty small. Ever since I was young, my main meal has always been at dinner time. It was the time where the whole family sat down together and just hashed out our day with each other. Right now, about half of my day's calories are at dinner time.…

Uggggg.... Worst mistake ever!
It was my nephew's 6th birthday today so my family threw a party for him. I ate waaayyyy too much and now I feel sick to my stomach. I'm having a hard time keepiNg food down and just keep feeling like throwing up. Not in a bulimic way but because I'm so stuffed I actually feel like food is about to come back up. Why I put…

One thing that makes me sad...
One thing that makes me sad about losing weight/inches is that my clothes are getting loose! I have a pair of fairly expensive designer jeans that I absolutely love and bought for myself as a reward for something. They were my one pair of jeans that made my butt look good too. lol. Now, they're getting a little loose and…

I eat like a pig!
Ever since I started EM2WL, I've upped my calories to about 1700-1800. During most meals, it actually seems like I eat MORE than everyone sitting at the table. Even more so than my 6'2" tall boyfriend who is normal in weight I'm only 5'2". . Of course, I pick more nutrient dense foods that allow me to eat more. I think…

Fitbit and calories burned discrepancy
I purchased a fitbit a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing it for most of the day except when I'm showering or something. Today was my first sedentary day ever since getting the fitbit. Right now, it's telling me that I've burned 1470 calories and there's still about 3 hours left in the day. I had my RMR measured a…

Rough Day yesterday
I had a pretty rough day with food intake yesterday. I think I over ate too much and it wasn't very healthy food! Let's see... In the morning I had an English muffin with thin layers of pb&j before setting out on a 15 mile run. It was my first time doing that distance and was strong most of the way! Before I upped my…

Meeting with Nutritionist and Progress Report
I met with a sports nutritionist on Saturday and had my RMR measured using the breathing test and it measured 1470. After discussing my half marathon/marathon training plans and other activities, she has put me on a daily calorie intake of 1700 cals/day. She said that this will leave me at about 500 calorie deficit which…

Here are the details: Mon am: Run 4 miles mod/easy pace Tues am: Run 3 miles at fast pace and 30 min strength training Wednesday am: 8 miles at mod/easy pace…

Introduction, scared, and needing some tips!
Hi everyone! I'm very excited to be a new member of this group and am hoping that it will help me reach my goals. For years, I was a yo-yo dieter who unfortunately developed a case of bulemia. I am trying to recover from it and I know it will take time but I am confident that I will be able to kick this illness by making…

Horrible weekend!
I had a horrible weekend with my nutrition... This weekend, I just binged on carbs the whole entire time. Lots of sugar and bread. I tried to increase my calorie intake during the week to prevent these "binge" moments but even eating between 1400-1700 cals a day, I still can't resist the refined carbs. It's so frustrating…

Training for Half Marathon and Marathon. Please help!
Hi everyone. I am a 26 year old female currently weighing in at 120.6lbs (this morning) and 5'2". I have been on a yo-yo diet for years that has lead me to binge often and unfortunately become bulemic. I am recovering from bulemia now and am trying to do my best to eat healthy and give my body the fuel that it needs. Right…

Help me determine my calorie intake PLEASE!
I am a 26 year old female weighing in at 120 lbs and 5'2". I would like to lose about 15 lbs, bringing me down to 105 which is still within healthy weight but on the lower end of the scale. Currently, I run 4 days a week and average 20-25 miles/week but will be gradually increasing to train for a marathon at the end of the…
