Well that depends on how much of your maximum effort you're doing. If you're lifting two pound weights (assuming your max is something closer to forty pounds) then you can do that pretty much all day long without seeing too much progress or damage. If you're lifting heavy (relative to YOUR max) then you need to take a day…

WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!! :D

Hi :) My question would be- what's your goal? A number on the scale or what you look like? With a history of ED (me too) it's an important distinction. If you're going for a scale number- then I'll ask why care about a number only you know? If you're going for a look- especially if it's a look of lean and toned- then yes…

Pretty much ditto to all this :) I'm a stay at home wife- feminist- lefty- goofy- christian- MSTie- Eating to fuel weight loss- lady. Feel free to add me if you want to, folks.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! *makes 'baby wanna be picked up?' sign* Too cute and snuggly!!!!

If you want sustainable weight loss while still having a life- then you absolutely fit in here :) Eating more to weigh less isn't a diet regimen (ask the group about clean eating vs fitting macros some time and you'll see the wide variety of opinions here lol). EM2WL is about math- not about your workouts or your diet.…

Take a look for vegan protein powders- those will be dairy and egg free for you. Here's one that a few of my vegan buddies like- http://www.amazon.com/Lifetime-Basics-Protein-Chocolate-1-31-Pound/dp/B002J0PD5Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1337796097&sr=1-2 Try to be patient- this does work and it will work for you. It took…

You're so right- it is hard to do! I still struggle some days but at least I know I'm heading in the right direction. Just give it time, give yourself patience and you'll be right as peaknuckle sundaes

You got it right there :) If you're not eating full-fat food then start eating it again. Go for calorie dense foods to get used to eating more. Butter, eggs, red meat (if you're a meater), nuts, full fat cheeses, peanut butter, nutella- the entire food world just went BAM! and it's open wide :D Once your body gets the…

Here's some pictures of different body fat percentages- could help you and others reading the thread find their goal. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/body_fat_categories.htm

Yes- you need protein. You're going to have a slower time building muscle than you did losing weight. It's why weight lifting, proper protein and fuel is so important even when we're looking to lose a lot of weight. Get a protein shake- and chug ;) Congrats on your great progress!

My best advice- relax. :D It's so easy to get so uptight about all this eating business. Wish I'd relaxed more and enjoyed the journey. Three years? Your dedication is amazing and that will absolutely pay off for you. Welcome!!

*gets out pom poms* GO TEAM FAITH!!!

Heeeyyyy some of my best meals have been floor food. :p

This- when the definition can be defined then I'll pay attention to it. As it is now? It's people making up their own plan- which is fine- but doesn't exactly convert me.

The only thing I would say is don't do a flat 500 calorie reduction. You're not guaranteed a pound loss a week with 500 cals and you might be putting yourself over 15% reduction by using a flat number. Partly why EM2WL works is because we don't use any flat number for everyone- it's individualized.

LOL That's funny AND awesome! :D Congrats! Soon you'll be bench pressing him

A wise person told me once that it's not about what will happen if you go see the doctor- it's about what might happen if you don't. When in doubt- check it out :)
-
How long have you been eating more? Are you consistently hitting your goal? I thought I was- but a quick tour through my diary said otherwise. A 100 here, 200 there- by the end of the week I was averaging an extra 600 cals gone.
-
Wow yeah, I would die. Since you have ten pounds to lose (per your ticker) I would either pick 10 or 5% or even the build/lose option. Forget the scale and go for looks and performance. Go by pant size, belt size, bikini hotness- anything other than the scale at this point because it is SO going to lie to you. I've got…

Yes indeed you should add those cals :)

I would have walked away as soon as she said 'no peanut butter'. Fat is GOOD for you- especially peanut fat. Your brain needs fat to function. There is no 'bad' food, no 'good' food- just food. Erase the good and bad and you will feel so much better! I say the only 'bad' food is something that isn't a food at all- like…

Oh no offense taken- none whatsoever! Your tone wasn't derogatory- I was giving you an honest answer because I fully believe you to be the kind of person who would listen and hear it. :) Hope that clears it up!

Pro-tip: Us obese, morbidly obese and super-morbidly obese folks got fat the same way you did. We don't mainline twinkies- we just eat a little too much for longer  I think there are a million tiny things that we do differently now than then. I know for me- I actually look at what a portion size is BEFORE I eat the…

I'm replying with my story because there might be others like me who read this thread and think 'I didn't have withdrawal therefore I must not have a problem'. Unfortunately, OP, it's not going to be helpful for you :/ I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms- I had two days of bowl movements that still contained wheat/gluten…

I stopped commenting on diaries for the most part. My friends know where I stand on food/TDEE/fueling your workouts. They are also adults and only they can keep themselves 'in check'. I would also hate to tell someone who's trying very hard to eat more, that they aren't doing good enough- it's akin to public humiliation to…

LOVE IT! I just went from a 22/24 to an 18/20 so I'm happy with that. I did seven loads of laundry by hand before my arms gave out- used to be two loads would wear me out.
