  • The time of day doesn't really matter. Your body doesn't know if it's 7pm or 8pm, only that it's time to sleep. Keep in mind that there are people who work night-shifts, and they lose weight just fine.

  • Invest in a copy of Photoshop.
  • Thanks for the link! I just used the first ones that came up on Google when I searched for calculators.
  • Depends on how much of that is body fat and how much is bloat from water weight. But, you can't spot reduce. You could lose a bit of body fat and water weight, but it'd come from all over. Water weight would come off pretty quickly if you manage your sodium intake and drink enough water. Body fat takes a bit longer, but…
  • Sing the ABCs while you run. Sound silly, but if you can't talk comfortably and run at the same time, you probably are going too fast. It also helps pace your breathing- inhale with ABC, exhale with DEFG, and so on.
  • Sound like you're holding on to water weight to me. Watch your sodium intake and drink plenty of water.
  • I haven't done Insanity, but I'd up the calories since you would probably feel like crap doing all that activity only on 1200 calories. You should probably up the calories anyway since 1200 is pretty low for someone of your height.
  • Put your info in here to calculate your BMR (the amount of calories you burn just by being alive). Make sure you eat more than this! http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr/ Use this to find your TDEE (the calories you burn from daily activities). Cut a percentage of calories out from this (15% is the recommended amount),…
  • Cut off a limb or two, and you should be set! Serious answer- it's highly unlikely you'd lose that much in a month. That'd require a loss of 5 lbs a week, which isn't healthy or feasible for most people. You could probably do 8-10, depending on your diet and exercise routines. And you do unhealthy things to lose the 20 lbs…
  • Eat more. 1200 is way too low if you do any sort of regular exercise. There's a thread on here about how to calculate how many calories you burn a day and how much you should eat. I think it's called "In place of a roadmap."
  • You would lose weight, but you'd also get scurvy. Fun!
  • I'd take it off, since it's tracking the horses's steps and not your own, and just input "horseback riding" into your activities.
  • I'd just ignore it. It should only be a couple of calories anyway. Doesn't really matter in the long run.
  • Do a search for "body weight exercises". There's tons of stuff you can do using your own body as resistance, like planks, push ups, burpees etc. You can look for videos on Youtube on how to properly do each exercise too.
  • Hey there! I finished the C25K program a few weeks ago (but only actually got up to 5k a couple of days ago). I used to get sore ankles (and sore everything else) until I bought a pair of actual running shoes. Are you using running shoes or just regular sneakers? If you go to a running store, they can tell you what kind to…
  • Just finished week 2 today! The first day of each week was hard for me, but it got a bit easier. Week 2's workout had me checking my phone to see how much running time I had left. It's more mental than anything, and it feels awesome to keep going till it dings for cool-down. I run outdoors by a river. Even if it's hard, at…
  • I'm 4'11". I just started tracking my calories a week ago or so. It's hard sometimes since some things I buy don't have the calories listed. I started the C25K program a couple of weeks ago too. I just finished week 2 out of 9.
