eat between these numbers and you will lose weight, the lower the number the quicker you'll lose! the general consensus is that you should be eating at least your bmr to lose weight slowly, healthily & in a way that will teach you to change your lifestyle & keep the weight off.

I think they do it more like the fat2fitradio.com method ie. factoring your activity level into your calorie allowance whereas the MFP way is to eat back your exercise calories. Eating more and then exercising more DOES NOT work for me haha.

This is what i was doing but ended up going over my calories and burning it off, id rather have a set amount per day and doing the amount of exercise i feel comfortable with :)

Had a quick read up on it and you do a week of SIU, 2 weeks of RIU and 3 weeks of BIU i believe! Definitely not designed to be done all at once as its a hour for each workout!
