Hi lovely, I've always been pear shaped, I carry my weight on my hips/thighs and that hasn't changed after losing weight. I've lost approx 50lbs and gone from a UK size 16/18 to an 8/10 and I still wish my thighs were smaller, however my chest, ribs and spine are quite boney now. My hips are about 36" and my waist is about…

Measuring the calories you burn in a day would give you your TDEE not your BMR. TDEE is the number of calories you need to maintain your weight doing your normal daily activity, BMR is the number of calories you'd need to maintain your weight in a coma.

I'm in Bristol right now, I've lost 40lbs and am using MFP to lose a little more and tone up :-)

I wish somebody had told me how big I was. My dad made comments occassionally but nobody sat me down and had a proper chat about it. I gained a little bit back (like a couple of lbs) and asked my mum if I looked fatter, she said "you've put on a bit of weight but you were doing that stupid 1000 calorie a day diet and…

I've only just started using 'proper weights' (ie. my fiance's dumbells instead of my pink ones). I upped to 2.5kg in each hand (was using 1.5kg before), not heavy lifting as such but it was for Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 and for me to complete all the reps with that weight was a real challenge. I know a lot of women…

I'm a straight white female so haven't really experienced the race or sexuality issue myself, though I have white, black and asian friends as well as straight and gay friends and I love them for who they are not what they are. I just wanted to say that you seem like a really genuine lovely guy and it's refreshing to hear…

I burn on average 100 cals for 10mins running. I run at about 6mph. 1000 in half an hour sounds pretty impossible, but slow running probably burns more than fast running as you can do it for longer.

Thanks for this, really interesting.

Fruit never made anybody fat. Like anything else it needs to be eaten as part of a balanced diet but the benefits outweigh the negatives. It's delicious, full of vitamins, low calorie, what's not to love?!

When you work out your calories do you put moderate or sedentary? If you put sedentary, eat them back, if you put moderate, don't eat them back as they are already factored in. If you are putting moderate and netting below your BMR without eating back then moderate probably doesn't cover your activity level and you should…

^Everything this person said is right.

I do JM Ripped in 30 on alternate days. I've finished c25k and am now doing 10k trainer but it's the same idea :)
-
So sexy ;)
-
Mine is a pain if I'm doing a JM DVD, especially chewing my hair and attacking my feet!

Dont think of it as a diet, think of it as the way youll eat forever, thats the only way youre going to keep off the weight you lose. Teach yourself to eat in moderation, have a little bit of the things that you fancy. Telling yourself youre never going to have cake again is a lie and likely to result in you eating cake…

I used to do something very similar to this (it was called freestyle kickboxing and had a lot of knees and elbows added as the above posters have said). Its crazy fun, really good workout and gets ur aggression out. Unfortunately this was when i was at uni and didnt understand calories or macros, i used to do a crazy hard…

Definitely! 30mins a day is pretty decent and is def gonna help u tone up. Thats all i do and ive noticed a huge change. I either run outdoors (just finished c25k and gonna do c210k next so thats 30mins-1hr) or do a jillian michaels dvd (completed 30 day shred and im doing ripped in 30 now so half an hr tops for either of…

Only done it twice so far but I am loving it! I've done 30DS before, the format is very similar, but I felt awesome after doing it both times & gonna do it again after work x
-
Actually do this myself! It's made my stomach tons flatter & was recommend to me by somebody on here, have told him about this also.
-
Well aware of this, don't worry. He does a lot of cardio & knows you can't spot reduce fat, just tends to work his arms etc a lot more than his abs so wanted something in the style of JM where you mix abs exercises with cardio.
-
That's great thankyou, will check it out!
-
I just started this, alternating it with running but feel free to add me x
-
Doing some strength training will help, even if it's body weight exercises rather than heavy lifting. I haven't done any heavy lifting as of yet & my stomach's got a lot flatter from cardio/Jillian Michaels DVDs. Nearly 100% happy with it & definitely very proud of my progress.

If you eat less than 1200 it tends to say this. 1200 is generally accepted as the minimum amount you can eat and be healthy. Make sure you eat enough and that it's healthy stuff.

I can't believe they haven't included Quinn in the shows yet, such an awesome character! Wish I could see the pics but they won't load at work :(

Eric and Jason are the best! I liked Jason for ages before Eric as well, his body's perfect and he's so loveable.
-
Eric! And Jason. Not that I'd say no to Alcide either. Mmm, True Blood. Out of the girls, I think Jessica's stunning but Pam's my favourite.

Normally have blueberries with brekkie but had a banana today, also got strawberries and a clementine in my bag :D

Thanks for the advice guys! I should add that at the moment, I can't afford a gym membership/personal trainer and only have access to my fiance's weights. He doesn't have a ton of equipment but it's all I've got for the moment. NROLFW sounds great, I've heard it mentioned a lot on the forums so I'll try to get hold of it…

I'd say stick with the program so you don't push yourself too far and injure yourself before the Warrior Dash! I have nearly finished C25K and though I've done it more than I was meant to (most days instead of 3 days a week) I've stuck to what it's told me to do on each run. x
