It is SCARY to eat more, because you think you'll gain weight, but for me it was the key to finally losing! I've lost almost 50 lbs total (10 lbs before I started using MFP) and it was the key to losing for me. Now I get to eat, and maintain my weight, and it is fabulous! :)

I eat back some/most of my burned calories, because I personally don't lose weight if I'm not eating enough. I love MFP because I get to eat AND lose weight.

The BMI is crap! My opinion, of course... =) I'm shooting for my healthy, happy weight, the weight I was at when I got pregnant with my son. At one point I was thinner, and working out too much, and eating crazy crap and taking a bunch of supplements and I was not a happy or fun person. I don't want to get that thin again.…
