It would not offend me if you joined the group. The military lifestyle is something that never really leaves you, and I find myself forgetting that I am now an Army wife and no longer a soldier. Welcome (from me) and feel free to add me as a friend!

I've still got a ways to go until my first goal, but I am rewarding myself with a photo shoot! I have several great photogs come into my store for props, and I know that I would love to take some cute pics with my husband. It was something I was putting off, but now I will make it an official reward! Thanks for the idea!

Once you get into that healthy life style, taco bell isn't nearly as appetizing. {I was in the Army, and forced to work out and lose a TON of weight} but after that, I found that eating fast food was nasty. I can't wait until I get back to the point where half of a cheeseburger had me full and nauseous from the grease.…

Hi! I'm Sarah and my husband is in the Army. We met in training, but a bad knee injury landed me a quick discharge. We're stationed at Ft. Bragg. I'm 23 today! I definitely got addicted to the motivation of my squad mates to get into working out, so I could always use some "tough love". My husband has gotten excited and…

I gained A LOT of my weight when my husband was deployed. It was just me, so why should I cook? It does make a HUGE difference. They don't have to be gourmet meals, and you can find some really easy recipes that take no time at all. I'm not a veggitarian, but last week I found a great recipe for spaghetti.{ Make noodles,…

This is the place to open ourselves up and be vulnerable. Definitely not the place for judgements :drinker: ps this is water... cuz I need to drink more of it!
-
Could always use more support, and I love to motivate others too! Added the 3 above me! Anyone else, feel free to add me

I'm in! PS those little water drink packets work wonders! I'm sipping out of blueberry acai caffeine water right now! Feel free to add!

Some people don't want to say anything in case they're wrong. Imagine if you hadn't lost weight... you'd think they were saying you should. Plus if they haven't seen you in a while 1) they never thought your weight was enough of an issue to bring it up when there are other things to catch up on 2) They have no idea when…

Add me! I'm trying to make a new lifestyle for myself. I hate diets!!

One day isn't going to ruin your weight loss. If it's still today wherever you are, then try to squeeze in a little work out. If I go over, I make myself play wii sports. Or take the dog for a walk. Try to make up for it tomorrow. We all have weak days, but freaking out over them will do you more harm than the extra…

Way to go!

Nope! I sell antiques! But I'm glad it helped. Everyone feel free to add me! I could always use more friends to challenge me!

MFP automatically figures how many net calories you get a day while still reaching your goal weight. Working out is like getting a second job. Eating back is like spending the money from that second job. Some people get the job to save more money, some do it to have more spending money. But either way, working extra means…

Nope! Think of it like money. Say you want to save $3,000 this month. You get $1,300 a day, but for some crazy reason you HAVE to spend $1,200 each day (Say for rent and bills) Now, if you only spend that 1200 a day, you will still save your $3000 by the end of the month. But you also can work for extra money. So one day,…

That's simple- don't work out! Or rather, don't "work out" Just do something that you enjoy. For example, today I burned 1500 calories without working out! I went to an antique fair that I was looking forward to for weeks and walked around shopping for several hours. And without realizing it POOF calorie burn! I also like…

I'm in... lucky for me I went to an antique fair and did 5 hours of walking today!!

3 weeks sounds like you're due for a week of water retention and cravings. I go up and down a lot, but the times when my dieting was good, I did not deprive myself. If you want chocolate, find some slightly less unhealthy substitutes ( I use whips yogurts or slim fast/carnation breakfast powder) BTW 11 pounds in 2 weeks is…

We're pretty close-- you're way ahead of me though!

This is going to sound dumb, but if you're just into your 20s, it could be the end of puberty. I was shocked when I was 21 and the Drs told me my acne would go away--after puberty. I had a HUGE hormonal shift after I turned 22. I had to quit the BC I was using because the side effects changed (weird) My sleep cycles…

I was, I suppose very normal weight when I was younger. Most of the women in my family were larger, so the portions were big. And when I honestly wasn't hungry, family members teased and said there was no point in fighting it. I went through many different diets over the years with my mother, long before I was anywhere…

I'm Sarah! I'll be 23 in a few days and am determined to live a healthier life style, and lose 74 lbs! I'm a few days into this attempt, and I hope with support and encouragement, I will make it to my goal this time.

I tend to laugh, pat my stomach and say "oh no! I couldn't" I have left more than one person feeling slightly offended, but if they were close enough, I remind them that I am trying to eat healthy, and don't need the temptation. My husband is no good at that, his dad is the kind that always put more food on his kids'…

I've been on MFP for a few days, and love it! I would love to have some more friends for support and encouragement, so please feel free to add me! I've been finding a lot of wonderful recipes, and will hopefully be sharing them!

Every time I've tried to lose weight, I had the same issue. Although my major weakness is soda. I keep a supply of those individual drink mixes. They come in a lot of flavors, and even some caffeine ones! Those usually beat my sweet craving and only have 5 or 10 calories, plus you're drinking water! If I ever get a super…

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to mention something great we found! I hate drinking plain water, and loathed it even when I was in the military. But when my husband deployed, he got hooked on those little drink mixes. When I decided to quit soda-again- he went and found caffeinated drink mixes at walmart! They…
