It changes, but in general this is my work meal plan: Breakfast: Eggs, Turkey Sausage, Coffee (make at home, heat up in microwave at work) - sometimes I make oatmeal instead Snack: homemade protein bars Lunch: Salad with a protein (chicken, tuna, egg etc.) and possibly any leftovers from the night before Snack: Plain greek…

Yes! I do this. Outlook, Firefox, IE, and then any other document I need open.

If I have leftovers I will bring those (lentil soup, turkey chili etc.) But, it's usually salad with some type of protein (tuna, chicken, beans etc.) Once in a while I will get sushi.

Unfortunately I have a wake tonight and a funeral tomorrow (my husband's great aunt). Sunday will be some rest with the kids!

Full time working mom of a 2 and 4 year old. I workout in the mornings before work and before the kids are up. I try to eat clean and my goal is to lose some fat (~ 10 lbs), but also gain muscle in the process, so I've been focusing on weights and moderate cardio. Feel free to add me for motivation/support! :-)

I usually get: Miso Soup (~ 60-80 cal) Avocado Maki (140 cal for 6 pieces) Salmon Sashimi (no rice; each piece is ~ 40 cal) topped with pickled ginger (15 cal) Actually, this was my lunch today :-)

I want to see all of those, but so far I've only seen the Hobbit - which I would give a thumbs up! It was a fun ride!

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. Keep it going!

High in carbs, but once in a while it's okay: Lentil Soup (leftovers from dinner) Baked Sweet Potato sprinkled with cinnamon Very different than my usual salad.....

It took several years for my husband to come around and start eating better (we have two kids). I used to cook a regular meal for him and the kids and a healthier version of the same thing for me. For example, when making steamed veggies, I take out my portion before I butter the rest of it for the family. When I make…

I've loved all the Nalgene's that I've had.

Hello all Cathe Fans - I'm starting the 90 day XTRAIN rotation on Monday - if you are doing the same please feel free to friend me. I would love the support! Thanks, Maria

My husband was just diagnosed with both osteopenia and Barrett's esophagus - and his is only 36! Needless to say he is on the workout wagon (for the first time in his life!). I bought him a BowFlex home gym for Christmas to help get him started. I'm really hoping he can stick with it!

As soon as my "cube" mate takes a break and leaves the area, I am all over this - will look around the office for something heavy-ish to hold!

I can usually pass on the salty stuff and fast food. However, I am always craving chocolate and ice cream! I've only had ice cream once in the past 2 weeks, which is amazing, but I still have chocolate almost every day!

This may seem corny, but i love reading about nutrition and exercise. So, when I am experiencing low willpower I like to take out one of my books and start reading - it always reminds me why i'm eating healthfully and working out. I keep all my health and fitness books on my kindle so i can read them wherever i am - you…

I was on Mirena for about 3 months, but it made my belly pop out like I was 4 months pregnant (and this was after I had spent over a year getting my tummy area flatter after having 2 kids!). Maybe my body did not react well to the hormones - in any case I saw my doctor and had it removed. It affects everyone differently.

In case you are looking for a program that has 12 weeks of weight lifting workouts already planned out for you, I highly recommend Jamie Eason's LiveFit trainer on bodybuilding.com. Even if you don't use the program, it can still give you some great ideas!

I think the trick is to get enough sleep the night before. I am usually asleep well before 10 pm and get up at 4:45 am to workout. Good Luck!

I just got the same comment over the weekend, and I completely agree with you! I haven't even lost any pounds - I've lost fat and gained muscle, but the scale has stayed the same.
-
Keep a few of your favorites and give the rest away! I bring all of mine to work and it is gone by lunch time! I also have a hard time with sugar - mostly ice cream and chocolate for me. The longer it's around in your house the more you will eat.
-
I go to bed early so I don't snack beyond my planned foods for the day (plus it helps me get up in the morning to workout!)

Sorry I don't have any articles to point you to, but wanted to share my experience. I have doing a lifting program for 10 weeks now. While my weight has stayed exactly the same, I have lost 2% of my body fat. So, wouldn't that mean that while I have lost fat, I have gained muscle? I don't think I have lost any muscle. So,…
