Half a pound a week is great progress! I would be happy with that! I'm not doing too badly. I started eat more to weigh less and have lost just over 3lbs in 4 weeks which i'm happy with. I think you just have to be patient and realise that you wont lose as quickly as others and try not to get down about it.. It should be a…

I like that I can eat more if I exercise

I agree with the half pound goal and eat back exercise calories. You will have more calories to play with but might find it will boost your metabolism. Whats your BMR?

I'm on everyday and i actively support my friends on here - any one feel free to add me! Just add a little message as to where you found me.

You can do it! I've done one similar at all different sizes and you just go at your own pace. OK you might not be doing 5 minute miles but who cares as long as you can run non stop for 30 minutes at the end of it ! Running is brilliant !

I'm 5 ft 7 and my goal is 161 at the moment. Its a weight i've been before and easily maintained. i'll reassess when i get back there but wouldn't want to go lower than 147.

Berrys advice is really good! I have my MFP set to Half a pound a week and I eat back exercise calories - I lost 3.8 last week!
-
I couldn't survive on 1200 calories a day either to be honest. no matter how much sleep I had! I have a 20 month old she is up between 5-6 everyday. I work full time as well. But I eat 1850 calories a day plus exercise calories. Could you up your calories to feel more satisfied?

WELL I LOST 3.8 POUND!!! Can't believe it to be honest, I have Hypothyroid as well so this is doubly amazing! Looking forward to next week hoping its not a fluke and it all goes back on!!! I would have been happy with half a pound!

I have my MFP set to losing 0.5lbs sedentary (which is my TDEE at Sedentary as well roughly) a week and I eat back my exercise calories so that I NET above my BMR of 1578 but below my TDEE (with Exercise) of around 2300. Thats the aim anyway - doesn't always happen that way. Just Net above your BMR and Below TDEE.

I have a public diary so anyone can add me, i'm always up for more support. I'm Ami 28 from UK with about 40lbs to lose!

Its so confusing!

I think i would prefer to log my exercise and eat back the calories because you feel a sense of achievement when you see how many calories you burn My BMR is 1707 (Harris) or 1568 so average of 1637 Tdee at sedentary (which I am most of the time as I have a desk job) 2048 So I have to net above BMR everyday ???

I put all my meals in to my app the night before the next day that way I have a plan in place. I usually have a couple of hundred calories to play around with should I change my mind but generally I stick to the plan. I find that if I leave it to chance i'm more likely to stray.
