  • I've not read all of the comments. But I really urge you to get off wheat and gluten- it is likely causing many of your problems- food going through you aka the runs, unexplained weight gain, inability to lose weight, loss of appetite, , vertigo, Fibromyalgia, depression, pain in your joints and muscles- that was me in a…
  • Shorrtly after I found I had CD most of our kids started following suit.. so everyone is gluten free except my husband.. We tried to keep the gluten contaning foods seperate to keep everyone safe but it proved impossible to keep gluten from sneeking in with cross contaminaton..so now our home is 100% gluten free-. My hubs…
  • I learned I had Celiacs two years ago.. when I first went gluten free I did like most people do I went wild for the GF subs- breads, pastas, rice, corn chips and corn tortillas and tons of beans and potatoes.. Within the first month I fattened up like a grain fed cow packing on 35 lbs..not what I wanted since I was already…
  • I felt a huge difference within the first week of going gluten free.. I felt better than I had in years!
  • I was am an over weight celiac and have struggled with my weight all my life. I went gluten free and gained 35 lbs.. what the heck. IF you are a fatty it is not suppose to work that way- you are suppose to lose when you go gluten free right .. yeah not so much.. I did nto begin to loose until gave up all grains and dairy.…
  • This is some of what I grab for my kids on the go- lays potato chips, baby carrots, pre-sliced apples, bananas, other fresh fruit, larabars, dried fruit, fruit leather, nuts or nut butter, and lunchmeat.-
  • We are gluten , grain, dairy, legume, peanut, sunflower and soy free. For dairy we use full fat canned coconut milk- I use it as cream in my coffee, to make ice cream, in creamed soups , to make gravy, to cook with, as dairy free sour cream and whipped cream - anything I would use milk or cream for basically. I use coconut…
  • I don't want to sound mean or insensitive here.. but YOU HAVE TO GO 100% GLUTEN FREE!! You have to find a wayto make it work! You have celiac disease - if you don't get off guten it will kill you! Even if your sympoms are not severe you are killing yourself by continuing to eat it.. that is the truth!.. Yes it is difficult…
  • Agreed - beards that are kept neat and tidy are sexy sexy and well.. manly!- but I am not into the ZZ Top look lol
  • I take a stick blender and blend it into my coffee- it comes out frothy and thick like a latte, I also make homemade dark chocolate with it- or make smoothies and add coconut oil- and I use it instead of butter- these are more pleasant ways of getting in your system than eating it straight.
  • these are the current numbers in celiac disease/gluten inolerance research. google it-
  • 8 out of 10 people have some sort of sensitivity of wheat and gluten- but few realize they do until they come off of it and find they feel better than they have in years- fatigue, brain fog, gas, bloating, heachaches, allergies , joint pain etc etc They had all their life was not normal.. That is reason enough to question…
  • Anything with no repurcussions? I'd have Feticcini Alfredo on zucchnni noodles with sour cream and cheese on top, a side cheese sticks dipped in ranch. Greek yogurt, Cheesecake topped with lots of whipped cream for dessert.. but since I can't eat dairy EVER without being in major pain. I will settle for steak and eggs!
  • I use to eat a small portion of popcorn or corn chips once in a while-but it wrecks my stomach and my entire system even in small amounts- I decided it wasn't worth it and my kids are the same way.. now I try to make a grain free version of whatever I am craving or find something else instead.. celery is not as exciting as…
  • this is yet another example that people don't get it- at all!- MOST and I do mean most. people that are on a gluten free /grain free diet are doing so for health reasons, like diabetics can't eat sugar- we can't eat grain. We would love to have some yummy popcorn or oatmeal or even dorritos..but we can't eat grain! We have…
  • I absolutely do eat my cake- right after I bake it and decorate it myself lol.. I know what is in it so there is nothing that is not included in my eating plan I can't eat regular cake for health reasons . If want it I make it myself . but that being said..The key to long term success is making good healthy eating a…
  • I love the fact even though you say grain free people still suggest cereal, puffed rice and popcorn lol- NO GRAIN remember... I realize most people have no concept of what that means- I find it humorous though! We are grain/gluten free as well.. I was going to suggest larabars , canned chicken and tuna, grain free granola…
  • I take many lol- mainly because of Celiac Disease my body doesn't absorb vitamins and minerals from my food the way it should .I am always adding and taking away as I see I have different needs. Currently I take B-12, D3, high doses of vitamin C, evening primrose oil,a liquid muitl-vitamin, a probiotic, thyroid support and…
  • No offense intended but If a nutritionist told me that. I would find new one and quick- especially if you she is saying things like cheez whiz and cocoa pops are not bad food>.what the heck? Most of the heavily processed "foods" have zero nuttitional value and do not resemble anything close to real food- something a…

  • You poor poor man!.
  • I use what ever flavor in my Kuerig but for a good basic cup of coffee I like Hill's Brothers or a dark roast. I use a very large coffee cup- the size of soup bowl. I add coconut milk, coconut oil and a little honey and blend or pulse with my stick blender. not exactly bullet proof coffee as I leave out the butter(I can't…
  • Coconut flour only works for certain things.. I've tried it in all kinds of recipes but I like it best for cakes, muffins, or as a sub for corn bread. it is not good in savory dishes and doesn't really do well for cookies either. Almond flour may work ..it's is very good but tends to be crumbly.
  • I am so there!!!.. I am 40 and and pretty sure I am going through early menopause.. this last year has been a doozie..mood swings, PMS from hades..cravings, irritability.fatigue.etc etc. I take evening primrose oil daily. that helps a lot.
