Fantastic! You look amazing! Such an inspiration since it was over 3 years - I have been at this for two (well a little slip when I started grad school), so this just confirms that I am fine on my pace. Thank you for sharing!

I have been told by repeated people to be sure to do the program in its entirety before doing hybrid programs. So, I am finishing up Turbo Fire now and will start P90X on June 1st. Both could be useful - Turbo Fire is high intensity cardio while P90X is cardio and strength building. I love Turbo Fire. Can't review…

Do bench presses with those kids of yours  (plus they might think it's a game! hehehe)

If you go over fiber a lot (the recommended is around 25 g for women I think), be sure to drink a lot of water to help your body pass it.. Otherwise you can end up being really really gassy, and it is uncomfortable (I know from personal experience of days with 40 g of fiber). :blushing:

You'd need 3500 * 3 to gain three pounds (+ your usual deficit). I bet you're just holding on to some extra water. You can totally have a sweet treat once in a while and it'll be fine.

I love my EatSmart scale - I got it on amazon.com. It's really great - and if something goes wrong with it within 2 years of purchase, just call the company and they'll send you a new one. (Small, family run business). I love their food scale too.

Hmm, well here, fitnesssingles.com, gyms, etc. Just getting yourself out there is a good thing. I wish you luck!

Sossy - Turbo Fire is amazing! It'll be hard at first (very intense, and complicated choreography) but after doing it, it gets easier and you can add more challenge to it. I have solely been doing turbo fire for the last two months and have dropped a ton of weight and body fat. It has been great. As you know, I…

I see what they are trying to do - to make a resistance band action go on when you move. I am not sure how good that is though.. prefer the shoes. I do have their easytone shoe - and it seems to make me somewhat sore in my booty after wearing them. Since I wear a lot of flat shoes / pad free shoes they can hurt my feet if…

Could you make sandwiches or something to leave in that fridge to get? I have been a big fan of egg salad lately. If you pack it, you can portion it out also. I understand the lack of time from doing substitute teaching for a short while.

Also, I was an RA in undergrad, so I know that hecticness that is housing & residence life! The key is to just watch your intake and log everything. Exercise too!

Hey there! There are plenty of us lurking around. I am a grad student - though I cook my own meals. However, the times when I am on campus for a very long time I get food there and they don't have many healthy options. :frown:

One thing is to hang in there with the strength training. You won't lose a ton of weight from it (I lost 7 lbs over 3 months of CLX). However, you should gain some muscle and lose inches. So pay attention to that too. Check your measurements and fat %.

I used to live near Philly (in NJ) when I started here, but moved for graduate school. But, welcome to MFP! This is a great website! Feel free to add me. I am in the Philly area sometimes (visiting my grandmother and aunt) so maybe we can workout together sometime!

Sounds like you just need to teach her a lesson and tell her she won't get it unless she buys all the ingredients or pays 50% of your price. She sounds like a spoiled brat who is disrespectful, yet somehow still gets everything she wants. Someone needs to tell her that's not right!
-
If you want to do her the favor, give her the grocery list to buy all the ingredients for you. That way at least you're not out of that money - but still that is a lot of time you will be out of. I'd still charge her.

I plan on starting P90X Classic on June 1st! :)

I am 23, 5'3" with about 15-20 lbs more to lose! Add me if you'd like!

Hey Kim - it all depends on if you are losing fat, losing muscle & fat, or losing fat and gaining muscle on how that number changes. If it is going down as you lose weight - then you are fine. You just don't want it to increase as you lose weight - that would mean you are losing muscle! I have been using a handheld body…
-
Losing slow should help your skin adjust. Strength training should help also!
-
Added you. :)

That's probably a good reason for that belly shape actually.
-
You just have to lower your body fat percentage. I have a similar problem, except the line is at my belly button. So I have two belly bumps. The top portion is definitely flattening out before the bottom. Just keep working on it. Build some muscle!

Egg salad with reduced fat mayo & whole grain bread.

Don't jump. Just raise your leg instead (like a knee lift) in place of a jump. I am sure there are low impact modifications (usually don't include jumping). So instead of a squat jump, just squat. Jumping jack? Just side lunge while putting your hands in the air and alternate directions. That could help that…

Hey Aaron! Welcome to MFP! I am actually in Fairfax, VA too. I have been using MFP since May of 2009 and have been slowly working toward my goal (and it has been wonderful so far!). Just keep trying and you'll get it! Feel free to add me as a friend!

Thanks Jeannie! lol, Carrying anyone over an 8ft wall would be an insane obstacle!
-
We'd be happy to have you! I'm going to add you as a friend so we can chat about the details!
-
Lol you are too funny! :flowerforyou: Totally would!

When trying to gain lean muscle, I wouldn't be trying to be at much of a deficit, if at all. You'll need the fuel to refuel your muscles, so close to maintenance levels would be my suggestion - definitely not 1200.
