Great job!

love it!

Leg lifts are good for the abductors (lay on your side and lift your leg up, both sides). Also, doing that while standing is good - add a resistance band around your ankles and that makes it more intense. Lunges and squats should help too - don't forget other parts of your legs like calves, quads, & hamstrings!

Hey there, 23 year old grad student here. I have lost 37 pounds with MFP since May 2009. Slow and steady wins the race! :flowerforyou: I hoping to get down the last 15-20 by September though. I have a conference I will be attending that I want to look amazing for. Feel free to add me!

Just be careful of not drinking enough water with all that fiber.. I found that out the hard way.

Well, this may not be of interest to you (as it isn't for everyone), but I find that using a menstrual cup really has helped my cramps (they are a lot less using it). I don't know why, but it works (and I have heard the same comment from others). Now I can't use tampons anymore though, because they itch, but the DivaCup is…

The majority of users are here to lose weight, but this is a site for all types. Welcome! I hope to concentrate on gaining lean muscle mass once I get closer to my goal (in about 10 lbs). I love heavy lifting though.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. Since I get home late often (graduate student and work at an internship with a long commute), replacing dinner seems to work decently well. So far it fills me up at night and really does help reduce nighttime cravings. I will use it more as a snack substitute when I have visitors though…

Okay I joined the FB group. Though I am more likely to check MFP than a FB group page, honestly.
-
Fabulous! I only have about 15-20 more lbs to go, and I am slowly going in that direction. Hoping to lose it all by September 19th when I am going to a conference in Vegas (so goal of beginning of the semester is pretty reasonable!).

Well, I am a grad student and will be working all summer - but not having the papers & projects to work on will definitely help! I am planning to start P90X June 1st so that I can really work hard all summer. Wouldn't mind being brought into this group.

You look really great!

Use a birth control method, and I am sure you'll be fine. I know that I am feeling fantastic too.. just higher levels of self confidence too.
-
Well, it's because you feel good. Also, because when you lose weight, your body is producing more hormones due to you not reaching equilibrium yet (your body lowering the levels). So, that could be it too. At least if I am remembering correctly from things I read.. which apparently leads to women being more…

You also should incorporate strength training to build muscle. When you just do cardio at a caloric deficit, you will lose muscle as well. So, adding strength training at a deficit will help maintain your muscles which will allow the body fat % to decrease.
-
Thirding this statement. If you have a low BF %, you could still weigh more than someone else, but look so much better. This is because muscle is more dense than fat (e.g., 5 lb of muscle takes up less space than 5 lbs of fat). So, just work on getting close to your goal, then check BF - and set a BF % goal.

Ugh, those are the worst (work treats that is). Maybe see if you can cut down to one a day (if you want to).
-
Well, if you don't want to eat them, don't buy them. That's what I do. When I get a treat for myself, it's intended to have one a day, or less. However, if I find myself not resisting, then I will stop buying the thing so I can't eat it.

I really like it. Though the first time you try it (the sprouted whole wheat one), it might be a funny texture / tastes grainy. Now I am thoroughly enjoying it. The cinnamon raisin bread is great for breakfast sometimes for flavor, and then I just use the original one (sprouted whole grain bread) for sandwiches. The rest…

Well, I think a lot of people use technology to track their progress.. Heck even using this website is a technology aid. But I think everyone just has to do what works for them, whether it be calorie tracking, exercising, or just going by the mirror.

reducing your body fat %. Try starting to strength train more, and keep up with cardio too.

tag. She seems like an amusing blogger.

On the fancier polars, you can get a GPS arm attachment and foot pods - what make them great is because you can turn it off to use the treadmill at the gym or other exercise. I had a Garmin 205/305 - and I didn't like it. I sold it on Craigslist. I found it to be too bulky for my wrist, that it got in my way. Plus, if I…

Awesome! I think it works great, from a females perspective. lol

Yes, it will look nice. He also used some shaving cream (in a plastic container with a twist off lid, don't remember what is was) and a badger fur brush to whip it up onto his face. Pretty old fashioned, but wonderful.

My ex-boyfriend did. After he shaved his skin was nice and soft. I loved it.

Thank you, Ed! Enjoy your weekend with the kiddos!
